The project is in the eastern Turpan Basin, Xinjiang, where winds of force 8 or above occur on more than 160 days a year and instantaneous winds can reach force 14, placing very high demands on the wind resistance of the building structure.

Chengdong’s independently developed Gobi container product was used, with optimized roof and wall-panel design. For the high wind-and-sand environment, multi-layer sealing of the entire unit was upgraded to resist dust intrusion and create a clean, comfortable interior.

Snow-load and wind resistance were also greatly improved, handling extreme Gobi weather such as blizzards and gales and reinforcing the building’s safety baseline.
