Mobile Toilet Room

Admin October 01, 2026

A mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public. It is composed of components such as fecal sewage storage tanks and sanitary ware. There are various classification methods, and it has advantages such as mobility, making it suitable for multiple venues. Individuals can also make simple versions.

Composition Structure

A mobile toilet is generally composed of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, moving device, etc. These components work together to provide users with a complete toilet environment. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect and store excreta, while the sanitary ware ensures the hygiene of use.

Classification Methods

  • By structural form: It can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. The single structure is relatively simple and independent, while the composite structure may be more complex and diverse in terms of function or spatial layout.
  • By moving method: There are lifting and handling mobile toilets, which usually require lifting equipment or manual handling for movement; and powered and towed mobile toilets. The powered type may have its own power system for autonomous movement, while the towed type can be moved by being towed by a vehicle.
  • By sewage treatment method: It is divided into water-flushing and non-water-flushing suction-type mobile toilets. The water-flushing type is cleaned by water flow, while the non-water-flushing suction type relies on a suction device to treat excreta. The circulating water-flushing mobile toilet can recycle the flushing water to save water resources. The dry-packing mobile toilet packs the excreta in a dry form.

Features and Advantages

Mobile toilets can be conveniently transported to any place where toilets need to be installed and can be used repeatedly. They have advantages such as mobility, combinability, and ease of transportation. This gives them a great advantage in meeting the needs of temporary or highly mobile venues.

Suitable Venues

They are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These venues have a large flow of people and flexible demands for toilet facilities, and mobile toilets can well meet their needs.

Personal Production Situation

There are also cases where individuals use materials such as water storage barrels to make movable toilets. For example, a young man used a water storage barrel and, through steps such as splitting the barrel, fixing universal wheels, installing door frames and walls, making a roof, and installing drainage and water supply devices, made a movable toilet. However, the simple mobile toilets made by individuals may differ from professionally produced mobile toilets in terms of function and user experience.
