Mobile Toilet Renovation Project
The mobile toilet renovation project has different practices in different regions. The following introduces two cases from Pudong New Area, Shanghai, and the Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring Scenic Area in Dunhuang City:
Pudong New Area, Shanghai: In terms of overall image and design, seven mobile public toilets have made a fresh appearance. Using soft hues such as light beige and light brown as the base, dark blue outlines the frames and accents parts of the toilets. This color scheme not only blends in with the surrounding environment but also facilitates identification and positioning, enhancing the attractiveness of the public toilets. In areas with heavy foot traffic, barrier-free access and stainless-steel handrails have been added, demonstrating full consideration for people with special needs. For convenience, the ordinary toilet stalls are well-equipped with simple and bright decor. A special "age-friendly and child-friendly toilet stall" has been created, featuring auxiliary handrails beside the toilet for the elderly and exclusive, age-appropriate designs in the children's toilet area to meet their needs. The electronic screens on the toilet stall doors display real-time usage status, making it easy for people to know if a stall is occupied. Additionally, in terms of sanitation worker care, a "Sanitation Worker Station" has been added to the mobile public toilet at the intersection of Century Avenue and Weifang Road, equipped with facilities such as a refrigerator, shower room, microwave oven, and charging ports, providing a place for sanitation workers to rest and replenish. The management department also plans to expand the coverage of the "Sanitation Worker Stations" in conjunction with the mobile public toilet renovation project to further enhance care for sanitation workers.
Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring Scenic Area, Dunhuang City: A toilet upgrade and renovation project has been carried out, with the procurement of landscape-style mobile toilets. The winning supplier is Zhihe Environmental Protection Technology (Lingyuan City) Co., Ltd., with a winning bid amount of 1,379,527 yuan. The introduction of landscape-style mobile toilets not only improves the level of sanitation facilities in the scenic area but also harmonizes with the scenic landscape, providing visitors with a better toilet experience.
