How to Install Cables in Container Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

The installation of cables in container houses requires reasonable planning and layout, the adoption of correct fixing methods, and attention to environmental adaptation and regular maintenance. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Cable Layout Planning

  1. Path Design: Before installation, plan the cable routing according to the internal structure of the container. Prioritize straight or large-radius paths to avoid cross-entanglement. For example, cables can be laid along the edges of walls or beneath the floor to reduce space occupation.
  2. Length Adaptation: Reserve 5%-10% of extra length based on the actual cable length to prevent insulation damage due to stretching. If segmented connections are required, use standard junction boxes and ensure proper waterproofing.

II. Fixing Method Selection

  1. Cable Trays/Channels: Suitable for centralized laying of multiple cables. Metal or flame-retardant plastic trays can be selected and fixed to the container frame with expansion bolts. The recommended spacing between trays is no more than 1.5 meters, and special elbows should be used at corners.
  2. Cable Ties Fixing: Use nylon cable ties to bundle cables together, fixing them every 50-100 centimeters. The cable ties should have a slack of 2-3 millimeters to avoid damaging the cable sheath.
  3. Cable Clamps Fixing: For thick cables with a diameter exceeding 2 centimeters, metal cable clamps can be used in conjunction with bolts to fix them to walls or floors. The fixing points should avoid cable joints, and rubber pads should be placed inside the clamps to prevent slipping.

III. Key Considerations

  1. Bending Radius Control: When bending cables, the inner bending radius should not be less than 6 times the outer diameter. For example, a cable with a diameter of 20 millimeters should have a minimum bending radius of 120 millimeters to prevent internal wire breakage.
  2. Environmental Adaptation: In high-temperature areas, use heat-resistant silicone fixing parts. In humid environments, use stainless steel or galvanized trays to prevent rusting.
  3. Prohibited Behaviors: It is strictly prohibited to expose cables directly on the top of the container. Direct sunlight can cause insulation aging, and rainwater erosion may lead to short circuits.

IV. Equipment Recommendations
The special containers from Cangzhou Zhongcheng Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. feature a modular design with standardized cable channels. The battery swap station containers from Botou Dongnanxibei Special Housing Manufacturing Co., Ltd. have a sturdy structure suitable for long-term cable fixation. The hazardous waste room containers from Cangzhou Yuanqing Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd. have a reasonable internal space layout that facilitates straight cable laying.

V. Maintenance and Inspection
Inspect cable fixtures for looseness every quarter, focusing on corners and joint areas. If cable ties are aged, trays are deformed, or cable sheaths are damaged, immediately replace the fixtures or cut and re-lay the damaged sections.
