Container House LED Bulb Installation Diagram

Admin September 15, 2026

The installation of LED bulbs in container houses should be carried out in accordance with the structural characteristics of the house, following principles such as safe wiring, firm fixation, and heat dissipation. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Pre-installation Preparation

  1. Power Disconnection: Before installation, cut off the power supply to the corresponding circuit in the container house. Use a multimeter to detect and confirm that there is no voltage (measure the voltage between wires using the AC 750V range, and it should be 0V) to avoid the risk of electric shock.
  2. Tools and Materials: Prepare screwdrivers, wire strippers, multimeters, insulating tape, LED bulbs, and matching drivers (if replacement is required). Ensure that the tools are in good condition and the accessory models match.
  3. Circuit Inspection: Confirm that there are two wires (live wire L/red, neutral wire N/blue) in the reserved lamp base box of the container. Check whether the wire ends are aged or damaged. If necessary, strip the wires again (expose 1cm of copper wire).

II. Installation Steps

  1. Fixing the Lamp Base
    • If the top plate of the container is made of metal, use self-tapping screws to fix the lamp base at the position of the reserved lamp base box, ensuring that the screw holes are aligned with the base box.
    • If the top plate is made of lightweight materials (such as magnesium oxide boards), first use hexagon socket bolts to connect the box corners and the bottom beams (refer to the installation specifications of container panel houses), and then fix the lamp base to ensure a stable structure.
  2. Wiring Operation
    • Connect the live wire (red wire) of the LED bulb to the hole marked 'L' in the base box and the neutral wire (blue wire) to the hole marked 'N'. The wire ends should be inserted all the way in and a 'click' sound should be heard to confirm that they are securely fastened. Pull the wires to check for loose connections.
    • If using quick-connect terminals, simply connect the wires by color. Avoid connecting them incorrectly, which may cause the lamp not to light up or burn out the driver.
  3. Driver Installation
    • Fix the driver (a small iron box the size of a matchbox) to the lamp bracket with cable ties. Avoid placing it inside the suspended ceiling, as this may lead to poor heat dissipation and shorten its service life.
  4. Lampshade Installation
    • After the wiring is completed, do not install the lampshade first. Test the light to see if it is normal (no flickering, uniform brightness). After confirming that there are no issues, install the lampshade to ensure airtightness and prevent dust from entering.

III. Safety Precautions

  1. Heat Dissipation: LED bulbs will experience light decay if their temperature exceeds 60℃. If the ventilation in the container is poor, regularly clean the dust on the heat sinks. If necessary, apply thermal conductive silicone grease to enhance heat dissipation.
  2. Troubleshooting:
    • Lamp Not Lighting Up: Use a multimeter to measure the output voltage of the driver (marked as DC 12-24V). If there is voltage, the LED chips are damaged and need to be replaced. If there is no voltage, check the driver or the wiring.
    • Lamp Glowing Slightly After Turning Off: This may be because the switch controls the neutral wire. Swap the positions of the live wire and the neutral wire.
  3. Moisture and Corrosion Prevention: Container houses are prone to moisture. Choose LED bulbs with a high waterproof rating. Wrap the wiring connections tightly with insulating tape to prevent short circuits.
