Yinchuan Prefabricated Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

Prefabricated houses in Yinchuan mainly include two types: prefabricated integrated houses and prefabricated panel buildings, each with distinct characteristics and application scenarios.

Prefabricated Integrated Houses

Located in the arid and semi-arid northwest region, Yinchuan experiences a dry climate with significant temperature variations. Prefabricated integrated houses have emerged as an important solution for green building development. These are industrialized building systems where structural components, walls, pipelines, and other parts are standardized and produced in factories, then quickly assembled on-site.

  • Performance Advantages: With high thermal insulation, airtightness, and modular design, they effectively cope with severe cold in winter and high temperatures in summer, significantly reducing building operational energy consumption. The integrated construction of light steel frames, energy-saving panels, and composite insulation layers enhances the overall thermal performance of the building, reduces on-site wet operations, and minimizes construction dust and waste.
  • Technical Advantages: The combination of standardized design and digital production ensures precise control over component accuracy and quality. High integration allows for the pre-installation of water, electricity, and HVAC systems in factories, shortening construction periods by over 40%. The structures are safe and reliable, meeting seismic fortification requirements in the northwest region.
  • Application Scenarios: Supporting flexible layouts and post-construction modifications, they are suitable for various scenarios in Yinchuan, including urban and rural residential buildings, public structures, and temporary facilities, promoting the transformation of the local construction industry towards green and intelligent development. A production base in the Yinchuan Economic and Technological Development Zone is a technologically advanced green construction demonstration factory in the northwest region, with its independently developed energy-saving composite wall system having passed national green building product certification.

Prefabricated Panel Buildings

The Xiangmin A District in Xixia District of Yinchuan has prefabricated panel buildings, mainly constructed from the 1970s and 1980s to the early 21st century.

  • Renovation Situation: In 2013, Yinchuan carried out urban renewal and renovation projects, implementing housing acquisition projects in areas with strong relocation意愿. Some buildings constructed from the 1990s to the early 21st century, where residents had lower consent rates for relocation, were retained. Currently, as a contiguous residential area, Xiangmin A District has no plans for demolition. In response to residents' reports of aging housing facilities, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development advocates for the renovation of old buildings.
  • Dilapidated Building Handling: For prefabricated panel buildings identified as Grade C or D dilapidated structures, upon inclusion in demolition and reconstruction or acquisition and renovation plans, residents are offered three resettlement options: monetary compensation, property exchange for new housing, or housing vouchers for purchasing new homes. According to policies introduced by Yinchuan in 2025, monetary compensation is based on the market assessment value of the acquired housing. Residents who sign agreements and vacate and hand over their properties within the specified timeframe receive an additional 10% bonus based on the assessment value.
