Water Tank Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

The water tank mobile toilet is a type of mobile toilet, characterized by its portability, environmental friendliness, and durability. The following provides an introduction from aspects such as composition, design principles, and practical applications:

I. Basic Composition
The water tank mobile toilet typically consists of core components including a fecal sewage storage tank (or disposal unit), flooring, sanitary fixtures, walls, washing facilities, a water tank, a roof, and a mobile unit. Among these, the water tank is a crucial component responsible for storing flushing water, which is connected via pipes to sanitary fixtures (such as toilets or squat pans) to enable flushing. Some designs also install a three-way valve below the water inlet pipe to connect washing facilities like showers, expanding water usage scenarios. The drainage system connects to a drainpipe through a bottom opening, forming a floor drain structure that directs sewage into the storage tank or an external sewage pipe.

II. Design Principles

  1. Portability: The overall structure employs lightweight and durable materials (such as high-strength plastics or aluminum alloys), with controlled height and width to accommodate different transportation vehicles. The mobile unit (such as wheels or a towing structure) must be complete and reasonable, ensuring that it can be pushed by a single person or towed by a vehicle.
  2. Environmental Friendliness and Durability: The fecal sewage storage tank must be leak-proof and corrosion-resistant. Some designs integrate septic tanks or biodegradation units to reduce environmental pollution. The materials for walls and roofs must be waterproof and sun-resistant to extend service life.
  3. Functional Efficiency: The water tank capacity should be designed according to usage frequency to ensure that a single fill can meet multiple flushing needs. The installation of sanitary fixtures must be secure (such as fixing toilets with glass glue) to prevent loosening during movement.

III. Practical Application Cases

  1. Simple Homemade Type: There are cases where storage barrels are repurposed to create mobile toilets. A plastic barrel is used as the water tank and placed on top, with a three-way valve diverting water for both flushing and washing. The toilet is directly installed over the drainpipe opening, with a sewage barrel connected at the bottom to form a closed sewage collection system.
  2. Standardized Product Type: Commercial mobile toilets are usually equipped with flush tanks, stainless steel fixtures, and non-slip flooring. Some high-end models also incorporate intelligent sensor flushing, air purification, and other functions to enhance user experience.

IV. Advantages and Limitations
The advantages lie in flexible deployment, suitable for temporary events, post-disaster reconstruction, and other scenarios; its eco-friendly design reduces reliance on fixed sewage pipes. Limitations include the limited water tank capacity requiring regular refilling, potential stability issues in extreme weather, and the need for regular maintenance and cleaning to avoid odors.
