Movable Partition between Toilet and Bedroom

Admin September 27, 2026

There are several common solutions for movable partitions between the toilet and bedroom:

1. Using Wardrobes as Partitions Place a set of wardrobes between the bed and the bathroom door, designed in an L-shaped semi-enclosed or full-wall structure, concealing the bathroom door within the wardrobe doors. The back of the wardrobe should maintain a 5-10 cm gap from the wall to promote ventilation and prevent moisture buildup. This solution combines storage functionality and is suitable for compact spaces requiring privacy, but regular cleaning of the wardrobe back is necessary to prevent mold.

2. Using Glass Partitions Opt for frosted or long虹 (assuming it means a type of textured glass like 'frosted' or 'patterned') glass with a floor-to-ceiling design to enhance structural stability and improve partition effectiveness. Glass materials allow light to pass through while maintaining privacy, suitable for dark bathrooms or bedrooms with insufficient lighting. However, attention should be paid to edge protection of the glass to avoid safety hazards.

3. Using Screens or Perforated Partitions Simple screens made of solid wood or metal, or vertically striped perforated partitions, can be placed close to the foot or side of the bed. These partitions do not occupy floor space and provide visual transparency, but they should be used in conjunction with bathroom exhaust fans or dehumidifiers to reduce the impact of humid air on the bedroom. Suitable for scenarios pursuing spatial hierarchy with lower privacy requirements.

4. Using Curtains as Soft Partitions Install fabric, bamboo, or sheer curtains as temporary partitions, which can be retracted when not in use, offering flexibility. Curtain materials should be selected based on needs: fabric curtains offer good light blocking, bamboo curtains provide strong ventilation, and sheer curtains are suitable for creating a soft ambiance. This solution is cost-effective but has weaker partition effectiveness, requiring regular cleaning of the curtains to maintain hygiene.

5. Utilizing Movable Shelves in Open Wardrobes Move the sink out of the bathroom's wet area and install a suspended cabinet between the sink and the bed, adding movable shelves. When closed, the shelves protect privacy; when opened, they allow natural light to enter, and the back can be designed as a sink mirror. This solution requires advance planning of water and electricity lines and is suitable for housing types with clear dry-wet separation needs.

6. Market-Available Movable Partition Doors Custom narrow-frame sliding doors (such as those used for bathrooms and kitchens) or ultra-narrow aluminum alloy triple-track hanging doors can be selected. These doors have hidden tracks and smooth opening and closing, suitable for modern minimalist styles requiring frequent opening and closing. However, attention should be paid to track cleaning to avoid jamming.
