Prefabricated Houses in Sihui City
The prefabricated houses (mobile houses/modular integrated houses) in Sihui City have demonstrated outstanding performance in terms of exports, product advantages, market recognition, industrial foundation, and customs services.

Export Situation: The port of Sihui in Zhaoqing is a crucial hub for the export of prefabricated houses. Since the beginning of this year, Zhaoqing Customs has supervised the export of multiple batches of mobile houses. For instance, a batch of mobile houses weighing approximately 431 tons was shipped from the port of Sihui in Zhaoqing to Hong Kong, marking the 79th batch of mobile houses exported under Zhaoqing Customs supervision this year. In the first quarter of this year, Zhaoqing Customs supervised a total of 2,929 modular housing units for Hong Kong, with export volumes surpassing the total for the entire year of 2025. It is estimated that these units can be assembled into approximately 50,000 square meters of living space, meeting the housing needs of over 5,800 people. These houses will be used in the major livelihood project of "Simple Public Housing" in Hong Kong.
Product Advantages: Mobile houses are constructed by dividing the house into independent modules, which are then prefabricated and inspected in the factory for architecture, structure, electromechanical systems, and interior decoration. Once transported to the site, they can be quickly assembled and put into use. Compared to traditional houses, they offer significant advantages such as short construction periods, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, and strong adaptability, making them widely used in overseas urban construction.
Market Recognition: The recognition of mobile houses in overseas markets such as Australia and New Zealand continues to rise. These regions face challenges such as high labor costs, long construction periods, susceptibility to weather conditions, and a shortage of housing resources in remote areas. Mobile houses effectively address these issues.
Industrial Foundation: As an important node city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Zhaoqing is leveraging its solid industrial foundation and superior geographical location to accelerate its development into a significant production and export base for modular building products.
Customs Services: In response to the characteristics of tight project schedules, concentrated shipments, and high demand for modules, Zhaoqing Customs has taken the initiative to provide services by conducting in-depth research into annual export plans at enterprises, strictly implementing the "one enterprise, one policy" assistance mechanism, and tailoring customs clearance plans to achieve a "seamless connection" from the production line to shipment for export, reducing overall customs clearance time by 1 to 2 days.
