Rural Prefabricated House Size Standards
The size standards for rural prefabricated houses are mainly divided into two parts: prefabricated concrete houses and prefabricated slabs, as detailed below:

Prefabricated Concrete House Size Standards
The sizes of prefabricated concrete houses are categorized into standard sizes and customized sizes.
Standard Sizes:
- 3m × 6m: Suitable for small temporary structures such as construction site offices and duty rooms, meeting short-term or temporary usage needs.
- 4m × 8m: Commonly used for rural self-built houses, storage facilities, or small shops, balancing residential and storage functions with high space utilization.
- 5m × 10m: Ideal for family homes, community centers, or commercial buildings, providing more spacious living or activity spaces.
Customized Sizes:
- Width: Typically ranges from 3m to 4m, with 10cm increments (e.g., 3.1m, 3.2m); some requirements may exceed conventional ranges, such as widths of 7.2m or 7.6m, suitable for large storage or industrial buildings.
- Length: Can be flexibly adjusted according to site conditions, such as 6.6m (outer diameter), with some projects even supporting longer custom lengths.
- Other Parameters: Height and number of floors can also be customized, such as single-story or double-story structures, to meet different functional needs.
Prefabricated Slab Size Standards
Prefabricated slabs are key components used for mezzanines or floors in rural prefabricated houses, with sizes determined by building requirements and design specifications.
Length:
- Generally ranges from 2m to 6m, with lengths of 2-3m commonly used in rural self-built houses to meet most residential mezzanine and floor needs.
- For special length requirements, large industrial plants may use long prefabricated slabs of 5-6m; there are also slabs of special lengths, such as 3800mm and 4000mm, but ordinary slabs generally do not exceed 4200mm in length, typically following a modulus of 300mm, such as 3000, 3300, 3600, 3900, and 4200.
Width: Most commonly 500mm and 600mm, with some cases of four-hole 400mm and five-hole 500mm, selected based on floor span and load requirements.
Thickness: Common thicknesses include 120mm and 150mm; 12cm is sufficient for ordinary rooms, but for second floors or areas requiring heavy loads, a minimum of 15cm is necessary to ensure structural safety.
Live Load Capacity Ratings: Generally, residential buildings use Class I and Class II slabs, with Class I slabs capable of bearing a live load of 1KN/M2 and Class II slabs capable of bearing a live load of 2KN/M2; in the southwest region, Class IV slabs have been specified, capable of bearing a live load of 4KN/M2.
