Reinforcement Plan for Prefabricated Slab Houses

Admin September 19, 2026

The reinforcement plans for prefabricated slab houses mainly include the following methods:

1. Grouting Reinforcement Method Inject cement-based or chemical grouting materials into walls or foundations to fill cracks and voids, enhancing the overall structural strength and stability. This method effectively improves foundation bearing capacity, prevents settlement deformation, and enhances seismic performance, making it suitable for houses with soft foundations or cracked walls.

2. Steel Mesh Reinforcement Method Lay steel mesh on the surface of walls or floors and spray concrete to form a composite structure. The steel mesh significantly improves the crack resistance and shear capacity of components through its synergistic effect with concrete, making it particularly suitable for cracked walls or floors with insufficient bearing capacity.

3. Steel Plate Bonding Reinforcement Method Use structural adhesive to bond steel plates to the tensioned areas of walls or floors, enhancing component bearing capacity through the high-strength properties of the steel plates. This method has a short construction period and causes minimal damage to the original structure, making it suitable for local bearing capacity deficiencies or crack repairs, but attention must be paid to rust prevention treatment of the steel plates.

4. Foundation Reinforcement Techniques Include measures such as increasing the foundation base area, adding ground beams or pile foundations, and using reinforced concrete hoops. By improving the foundation's stress conditions, these techniques enhance the overall stability of the house, making them suitable for scenarios with uneven foundation settlement or insufficient foundation bearing capacity.

5. Section Enlargement Reinforcement Method Add a reinforced concrete post-pouring layer of no less than 40mm thick on the surface of the prefabricated slab to form a double-layer slab structure. This method significantly improves floor stiffness and bearing capacity, making it suitable for house renovations with larger spans or increased load requirements.

6. Carbon Fiber Sheet Bonding Reinforcement Method Utilize a combination of high-strength carbon fiber sheets and structural adhesive, bonding them along the span direction to the tensioned area at the bottom of the slab. Carbon fiber sheets have advantages such as being lightweight, high-strength, and corrosion-resistant, enhancing the floor's flexural capacity without increasing self-weight, making them suitable for reinforcement projects with strict space requirements.

7. Composite Reinforcement Technique Combine the advantages of section enlargement and carbon fiber sheet bonding by first adding a concrete post-pouring layer and then bonding carbon fiber sheets to the surface. This method fully leverages the synergistic effects of the two materials, further enhancing structural bearing capacity and seismic performance.

Reinforcement Precautions:

  • Conduct structural inspections and load calculations before construction to develop targeted reinforcement plans.
  • Select reinforcement materials that comply with national standards and ensure standardized construction techniques.
  • Perform bearing capacity tests and long-term monitoring after reinforcement is completed, establishing a maintenance management system.
  • Take safety precautions during construction to minimize impacts on the surrounding environment.
