Prefabricated Concrete House Exterior Wall
The exterior walls of prefabricated concrete houses typically use prefabricated concrete wall panels, which come in various types and have notable features, widely applied in various buildings.

Types of Prefabricated Concrete Wall Panels
Prefabricated concrete wall panels can be classified by function into exterior wall panels, which are further divided into front exterior wall panels, gable panels, and eave panels. Among them, front exterior wall panels are self-supporting and mainly bear their own weight without participating in the load-bearing of the main structure; gable panels and eave panels are load-bearing and need to bear the upper loads of the building and transfer them to the foundation. In addition to basic structural functions, exterior wall panels also need to meet performance requirements such as sound insulation, fire resistance, thermal insulation, anti-permeability, freeze-thaw resistance, and carbonization resistance to adapt to different climatic conditions and building needs.
Based on materials and production processes, prefabricated exterior wall panels are mainly divided into two categories:
- PC Wall Panels: These include single-sided composite, double-sided composite, and fully prefabricated types. Single-sided composite panels are made by combining a prefabricated layer with a cast-in-place layer, suitable for scenarios requiring on-site adjustments; double-sided composite panels have prefabricated layers on both sides with an empty space in the middle for cast-in-place concrete, improving construction efficiency; fully prefabricated panels are entirely manufactured in the factory and directly installed on-site, suitable for projects with high standardization.
- Industrialized Finished Wall Panels: Such as ALC autoclaved aerated concrete lightweight wall panels and ceramsite concrete wall panels. ALC panels are made from fly ash, cement, and other raw materials, cured under high-pressure steam, and have advantages such as lightweight, thermal insulation, and fire resistance; ceramsite concrete wall panels use ceramsite as aggregate, have low density and good thermal insulation properties, and are suitable for buildings with high energy efficiency requirements.
Features of Prefabricated Concrete Exterior Wall Panels
Prefabricated concrete exterior wall panels offer significant advantages:
- High Construction Efficiency: Standardized factory production reduces on-site wet work, shortens construction periods, and is particularly suitable for high-rise buildings and large-scale development projects.
- Excellent Performance: They are durable, resistant to wind and rain erosion and temperature changes; have a high fire rating, meeting building safety regulations; and provide good sound insulation, enhancing living comfort.
- Environmentally Friendly and Energy-Efficient: Materials can be recycled, reducing construction waste; thermal insulation properties lower energy consumption, complying with green building standards.
- Flexible Design: Surfaces can be treated with textures such as fair-faced concrete or simulated stone, meeting diverse aesthetic needs. For example, prefabricated fair-faced concrete exterior wall panels do not require secondary finishing after installation and can directly serve as enclosure structures.
Application Scenarios
Prefabricated concrete exterior wall panels are widely used in commercial and civil buildings such as residential buildings, offices, factories, and hotels. For example, in frame or frame-shear wall structures, prefabricated fair-faced concrete exterior wall panels are connected to the main structure with high precision through independent support connection systems, ensuring both structural safety and the industrial aesthetic of the building's exterior.
