Outdoor Portable Toilet Instructions

Admin October 12, 2026

The use of outdoor portable toilets requires adherence to requirements for site selection and installation, daily maintenance, safety regulations, and special handling. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Site Selection and Installation

  1. Site Selection Requirements: Choose a flat, dry area that is not prone to water accumulation, away from water sources, low-lying areas, and areas with dense human activity. For construction sites, avoid dusty spots and areas where heavy machinery operates, and reserve passage space. Outdoor simple toilets should avoid windy areas, and tent-style toilets should be secured with heavy objects.
  2. Installation Points: The bottom must be firmly connected to the ground (e.g., using expansion bolts or counterweights). On construction sites in mountainous areas, shallow ditches can be dug to guide rainwater and prevent water accumulation. Tent-style toilets need to have their supports fixed, and ropes can be used for reinforcement if necessary.

II. Daily Use and Maintenance

  1. Pre-use Inspection: Ensure that the equipment is undamaged and that internal facilities (such as the flushing system, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer) are intact. Electric flushing toilets should be equipped with leakage protectors, and cables should be elevated or protected with conduits.
  2. In-use Regulations: Use the provided bags or containers when using the toilet. For chemically treated toilets, add reagents according to the instructions. Do not use the toilet as a dumping site for household waste to avoid contaminating the soil and water sources.
  3. Cleaning and Disinfection: Clean at least once a day and thoroughly disinfect once a week (using chemical disinfectant tablets). After use, clean up the garbage, replenish sanitary supplies, and keep the area well-ventilated and dry. Biodegradable bags for outdoor simple toilets should be buried after use, and chemical types should be sealed and taken away from the wild.

III. Safety Precautions

  1. Wind and Tipping Prevention: In areas with frequent thunderstorms and strong winds in summer, such as Jiangxi, secure the toilet with expansion bolts or counterweights. Tent-style toilets should have their supports reinforced with ropes in strong winds.
  2. Electrical Safety: Ensure a stable power supply to avoid short circuits or electric leakage. Keep cables away from areas where vehicles may run over them.
  3. Load Limit: Avoid overloading to prevent equipment damage.

IV. Special Scenario Handling

  1. Winter Use: Chemical reagents may lose effectiveness in winter. Choose freeze-resistant models or shorten the usage interval.
  2. Environmental Protection Requirements: Excrement should be buried in deep pits at least 60 meters away from water sources or taken away in biodegradable containers. On construction sites, ensure that fecal disposal complies with environmental protection regulations.

V. Post-event Handling

  1. Assist the rental company in promptly removing the equipment and restoring the site to its original condition.
  2. Check that foldable components are intact to avoid deformation from long-term pressure. Store chemical reagents separately, away from children and high-temperature environments.

VI. Other Tips

  1. Communicate with the supplier in advance about local climate characteristics and sign a detailed usage agreement.
  2. Establish usage rules for multiple users and take turns cleaning and maintaining the toilet.
  3. Understand the usage regulations in advance for special areas such as nature reserves.
