On-site Temporary Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

On-site temporary mobile toilets are facilities that can be moved as a whole and placed in fixed or temporary locations to provide toilet services for the public and customers, featuring mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation.

I. Basic Definition and Characteristics The core feature of on-site temporary mobile toilets is their "mobility," designed to meet temporary or short-term toilet needs. For example, in the parking lot of Linpu Town, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, construction teams have installed such facilities to serve the surrounding population. Their advantage lies in the ability to be quickly deployed to any location in need, such as large event venues, construction sites, disaster areas, etc., and can be dismantled and relocated after use, avoiding resource waste. Additionally, mobile toilets support multiple uses, reducing long-term construction costs.

II. Type Classification According to structural form, mobile toilets can be divided into two categories:

  1. Single-unit mobile toilets: Small in size, suitable for scenarios with limited space, such as small events or temporary construction sites.
  2. Composite-structure mobile toilets: Composed of multiple modules, they can be expanded into multi-toilet facilities to meet high foot traffic demands.

Classification by mobility method:

  1. Lifting and handling type: Relies on lifting equipment or manual handling, suitable for short-distance relocation.
  2. Powered and towed type: Equipped with a power system or towable design, they can be transported long distances by vehicles, offering higher flexibility.

Classification by sewage treatment method:

  1. Flush and non-flush suction type: Relies on a water source or regular suction of waste, suitable for areas with water supply.
  2. Recirculating flush type: Purifies water resources through an internal circulation system, reducing water consumption, suitable for water-scarce environments.
  3. Dry-pack type: Uses biodegradable bags to collect waste, requiring no water source, commonly used in remote areas or temporary events.

III. Rental Price Differences The rental price of mobile toilets is significantly influenced by type, configuration, and services. For example, luxury mobile toilets may be equipped with air conditioning, smart toilets, and other facilities, with rental prices as high as 15,000 yuan per use; while basic plastic mobile toilets offer only basic functions, with rents as low as 200 yuan per use. Additionally, rental duration, transportation distance, and maintenance services also affect the final cost.

IV. Practical Application Issues Despite their convenience, mobile toilets can cause controversies if not managed properly. For example, the mobile toilets in the parking lot of Linpu Town were once locked and unusable, exposing issues such as unclear maintenance responsibilities and lack of supervision. This reminds users to choose reputable suppliers and clarify management rules to ensure the proper functioning of the facilities.
