Do Mobile Toilets Have No Water?
Mobile toilets do not necessarily lack water; there are types that do not require an external water supply, as well as types that require a small amount of water. Details are as follows:

Waterless Mobile Toilets: These toilets are completely independent of the water supply network, using a combination of physical sealing and biodegradation to treat waste. They typically feature special sealing devices inside that effectively prevent odor from escaping, while utilizing composite microbial communities to biodegrade waste into harmless substances such as carbon dioxide, water, and a small amount of organic fertilizer. This treatment method not only eliminates the need for water but also enables resource recycling and reduces environmental pollution, making it suitable for areas with scarce water resources or where access to the water supply network is not possible, such as wilderness campsites, remote mountainous regions, and large outdoor event venues.
Mobile Toilets with Foam-Type Squat Pans: These toilets can operate with minimal water. The foam-type squat pan uses a special foaming device to mix a small amount of water with a foaming agent, generating a large amount of fine foam. This foam covers the surface of the toilet, forming a sealing layer that effectively prevents odor from escaping while reducing the contact area between waste and the toilet, thereby lowering the amount of flushing water required. During use, only a small amount of water and foaming agent need to be replenished periodically to maintain normal operation, significantly saving water compared to traditional flush toilets.
Waterless Flush Sanitary Toilets: These toilets replace the traditional water flush function with physical, biological, or chemical technologies to treat waste without the need for a conventional water flush. For example, some waterless flush sanitary toilets use physical blocking methods, employing special materials and structural designs to isolate waste from the outside environment and prevent odor from spreading; others use biodegradation technology, utilizing microorganisms to decompose waste; or chemical treatment methods, adding chemical agents to solidify and disinfect waste, achieving harmless treatment.
Waterless Non-Flush Toilets: These toilets are equipped with composite microbial communities inside that treat waste through biodegradation without the need for a water source. These microbial communities can rapidly decompose organic matter in waste into harmless substances while inhibiting odor production, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene inside the toilet.
