Mobile Toilet with Fecal Pool

Admin September 28, 2026

A mobile toilet with a fecal pool, also known as a mobile toilet, typically has the function of collecting and treating feces. Its core structure includes a fecal sewage storage tank or disposal device, and some types can be regarded as independent sanitary units with their own fecal pools.

Structural Composition and Functional Characteristics

The basic structure of a mobile toilet includes a fecal sewage storage tank (or disposal device), flooring, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, a water tank, a roof, and a mobile device. Among them, the fecal sewage storage tank is the core carrier of the “fecal pool” function, used for temporarily storing excrement to prevent direct discharge from polluting the environment. Some high-end models are also equipped with fecal sewage disposal devices that use technologies such as biodegradation, chemical treatment, or physical separation to achieve harmless treatment or resource utilization of feces. For example, dry-packing mobile toilets use biodegradable film bags to package feces, eliminating the need for flushing and allowing direct packaging and transportation to disposal sites. Recirculating flushing mobile toilets, on the other hand, achieve water recycling through filtration and disinfection, reducing water consumption.

Classification and Fecal Pool Treatment Methods

According to the sewage treatment method, mobile toilets can be divided into the following types, all of which are closely related to the function of the fecal pool:

  1. Flushing and non-flushing suction types: The former relies on a water tank for flushing, and the feces enter the storage tank and need to be regularly suctioned and transported for disposal. The latter directly transports the feces to an external fecal pool or treatment device through vacuum suction or gravity discharge, suitable for scenarios without a sewer system.
  2. Recirculating flushing type: It has a built-in small-scale sewage treatment system. After sedimentation and filtration of the feces, the clean water flows back to the water tank for reuse, and the fecal residue is regularly cleaned, significantly reducing water consumption.
  3. Dry-packing type: It requires no flushing at all. The feces are sealed in biodegradable film bags, and the storage tank only serves as a temporary container. The entire unit is eventually replaced or transported for disposal, with no sewage discharge.

Special Type: Integrated Self-contained Septic Tank

There are products on the market that integrate mobile toilets and restrooms, with the septic tank closely combined with the main body of the toilet to form an independent and closed system. These toilets usually use reinforced plastic or fiberglass-reinforced plastic to make the septic tank, which has characteristics such as corrosion resistance and good airtightness. They can be directly buried underground or integrated into the structure of mobile houses, suitable for remote areas, temporary construction sites, or disaster relief scenarios, balancing convenience and environmental protection needs.
