How to Handle Mobile Toilets

Admin September 21, 2026

There are various methods for handling mobile toilets, including chemical treatment, anaerobic digestion, compression and storage, multi-functional sewage outlets, mechanical treatment, as well as flush and non-flush suction types.

Chemical Treatment: This involves using specific chemical agents that can decompose and eliminate organic matter in waste, effectively controlling odors and promoting the decomposition process. The treated waste can be further processed through specialized equipment or directed into the sewage system for centralized treatment. This method is suitable for situations requiring rapid treatment with minimal environmental impact.

Anaerobic Digestion: This method utilizes microorganisms to decompose and digest waste under anaerobic conditions, producing biogas (usable for energy) and fertilizer (usable for agriculture or horticulture). This approach not only reduces the volume of waste but also delays the need for treatment, making it particularly suitable for situations where access to treatment facilities is limited for extended periods, such as field operations or temporary event venues.

Compression and Storage: This involves using compression equipment to reduce the volume of waste, thereby delaying the need for treatment. This method is suitable for camping sites, field construction sites, and other settings where waste can be temporarily stored and then centrally processed when conditions permit.

Multi-functional Sewage Outlets: These are equipped with manual cleaning functions, such as fecal storage tanks or pre-installed septic tanks. These facilities require regular manual cleaning and further processing of the collected waste. This method is straightforward but requires regular maintenance and cleaning.

Mechanical Treatment: This involves using specialized equipment for solid-liquid separation, decomposition, and disinfection. This method significantly reduces environmental impact and ensures hygiene and safety. Mechanical treatment equipment is typically complex but offers significant treatment effects, making it suitable for settings with high hygiene requirements.

Flush and Non-flush Suction Types: Flush-type mobile toilets are equipped with flushing devices that direct waste into a sewage tank or system using water flow. Non-flush suction types use a sewage tank at the bottom of the toilet to collect waste, which is then periodically cleaned using suction equipment. The circulating flush type accelerates fermentation and decomposition through anaerobic treatment of fecal sewage devices and biological strains, reducing the frequency of suction and improving treatment efficiency.
