Mobile Toilet
A mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole, providing temporary or periodic toilet services to the public. It has advantages such as mobility, diverse treatment methods, and a small footprint.

I. Basic Composition and Classification
A mobile toilet consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or disposal device), flooring, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, a water tank, a roof, and a mobile device, among other components. Its structural forms are divided into single-unit structures (independent units) and composite structures (multi-unit combinations). The mobile methods include lifting type (transported by lifting equipment) and powered towing type (can be towed by vehicles). The sewage treatment methods cover flushing type (requires connection to a water source), waterless flushing suction type (relies on vacuum suction for sewage removal), circulating water flushing type (sewage is purified and reused), and dry packing type (feces are collected in biodegradable bags without the need for flushing).
II. Core Advantages
- Flexibility and Adaptability
It can be quickly deployed to areas that are difficult for fixed public toilets to cover, such as tourist attractions, temporary event venues, or disaster relief sites. For example, Dalian City alleviated pedestrian traffic pressure during peak tourist seasons by deploying mobile public toilets; Shanxi Jinci Scenic Spot transformed a bus into a mobile men's toilet during the May Day holiday in 2026, increasing the average daily reception capacity of the restroom by approximately 67%. Its mobility also reduces waste from facility demolition due to site changes. - Diverse Treatment Technologies
Treatment methods can be selected according to environmental constraints: dry packing or suction type in areas without a water source; circulating water flushing type in ecologically sensitive areas to reduce pollution; and flushing type in urban areas with dense populations, which can be connected to the municipal sewage network. - Resource Conservation
It occupies only one-third to one-half of the area of traditional toilets, and the factory-prefabricated and on-site installation model shortens the construction period and reduces labor and material costs. For example, a mobile toilet in a certain scenic spot can be put into use in just 3 days from production, while a traditional toilet takes several months. - Combination of Functionality and Aesthetics
The design takes into account both practicality and landscape harmony. Wall materials can be selected from color-coated steel plates, fiberglass-reinforced plastics, or metal carved panels, and the appearance can be customized in antique, modern, and other styles, commonly seen in parks, commercial streets, and other places.
III. Design Principles
Mobile toilets should adhere to principles such as being lightweight and durable (using channel steel and square steel frames), structurally stable (meeting lifting requirements), reasonably sized (controlling height and width to adapt to transportation), and equipped with complete mobile devices (such as universal wheels or towing hooks) to ensure their 'mobile' characteristics are realized.
