Simple Mobile Toilet and Environmental Toilet

Admin September 20, 2026

Simple mobile toilets and environmental toilets are representatives of public sanitation facilities that combine flexibility and eco-friendliness. They are related yet different in terms of functional design, technological principles, and application scenarios.

I. Core Features of Simple Mobile Toilets
Simple mobile toilets are centered around being lightweight, low-cost, and easy to assemble. They commonly come in two forms: finished mobile restrooms and handmade DIY versions. Finished mobile restrooms typically adopt a modular design, such as a double-squat structure with a pointed roof on top and a 50-centimeter platform below, equipped with dedicated toilet doors and smart indicator signs. Inside, they feature marble floors, sinks, squat toilets, and LED ceiling lights to meet basic usage needs. Their advantage lies in rapid deployment, making them suitable for construction sites and temporary events. Handmade DIY versions offer greater flexibility. For example, a movable restroom can be created by repurposing a water storage tank and connecting it with simple pipes for waste collection. This approach is extremely cost-effective but requires regular cleaning and has limited functionality, making it suitable for personal or small-scale emergency use.

II. Technological Breakthroughs in Environmental Toilets
Environmental toilets aim for water conservation, emission reduction, and resource utilization, achieving ecological benefits through technological innovation. For instance, mobile environmental public toilets employ technology that automatically collects hand-washing water and adds a special agent, reducing the flush volume per person to 0.46 liters, which is over 80% less than traditional toilets. Their frames are welded from national standard steel and covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials like color-coated steel sheets or carved panels, ensuring a lifespan of over 20 years. Inside, they are equipped with an independent pit partition treatment system: the urine channel uses gravity for self-flow, while the feces channel is cleaned by a piston-type scraper mechanical device, complemented by anti-slip floors, automatic flushing toilet bowls, and ventilation and lighting systems, reducing odors and lowering maintenance costs. Additionally, environmental toilets have developed various technological routes, including waterless flush, foam seal, and water flush types, covering sub-categories like antique-style, temporary construction site, and marine types. They support vehicle-mounted and traditional public toilet renovations, with application scenarios extending to scenic spots, service areas, rural areas, and other public places.

III. Relationship and Differences Between the Two
Both simple mobile toilets and environmental toilets are movable, but environmental toilets place greater emphasis on technological integration and ecological benefits. For example, although mobile environmental public toilets fall under the category of mobile toilets, their water-saving technology, material durability, and treatment systems far surpass those of ordinary simple mobile toilets. On the other hand, handmade DIY simple toilets, while low-cost, lack the automated treatment and resource recycling capabilities of environmental toilets. In practical applications, the two can complement each other: simple mobile toilets meet short-term, low-cost needs, while environmental toilets are suitable for long-term, high-traffic scenarios, jointly promoting the development of public sanitation facilities towards being green and efficient.
