Mobile Toilet Squat Toilet Relocation

Admin October 09, 2026

The relocation of a squat toilet in a mobile toilet can be achieved by installing a toilet offset connector, but it must be carried out according to the relocation distance, structural type, and construction specifications, with attention paid to potential risks.

1. Types of Offset Connectors and Applicable Scenarios

The toilet offset connector (also known as a deflector or sewage offset connector) is a core tool for resolving mismatches in the position of the sewage outlet. It can be classified into two types based on its structure:

  1. Integrated Offset Connector: Suitable for short-distance relocation (usually ≤200mm), it has a compact structure and is easy to install, but its relocation capacity is limited.
  2. Elliptical Flat-Tube Offset Connector: Suitable for longer-distance relocation (usually ≤500mm), it has a pipe diameter of approximately 110mm and a height of 50-60mm. Its flat-tube design reduces space occupation, making it suitable for scenarios with significant bathroom layout adjustment needs.

2. Relocation Distance and Limitations

  • Conventional Relocation Range: 5-10 centimeters, with special cases reaching up to 15 centimeters. However, relocating more than 15 centimeters significantly increases the risk of blockage, requiring careful evaluation.
  • Slope Requirements: The greater the relocation distance, the higher the drainage slope required (generally not less than 2%), otherwise, sewage stagnation or backflow may occur. During construction, it may be necessary to lower or raise the ground to adjust the slope.

3. Installation Steps and Precautions

  1. Construction Timing: It must be completed before laying floor tiles to avoid damaging the waterproof layer later.
  2. Operation Process:
    • Measure and determine the relocation distance, then use a saw to cut the main body of the offset connector to the appropriate length;
    • Use special adhesive to connect the main body of the offset connector with components such as elbows, ensuring airtightness;
    • Cut a groove in the ground (slightly wider than the offset connector), embed and fix the offset connector, keeping it level;
    • After installing the squat toilet, test whether the drainage is smooth.
  3. Material Selection: Prioritize PVC offset connectors (such as adjustable new-type pit-distance integrated 110 thickened models), which are corrosion-resistant and have lower costs.

4. Potential Risks and Countermeasures

  • Blockage Risk: The offset connector increases bends in the pipeline, making it prone to debris accumulation. Recommendation: Regularly clean the pipeline and avoid dumping large waste.
  • Reduced Flushing Effect: Changes in air pressure may cause sewage backflow. Recommendation: Choose a squat toilet with strong flushing power or install an anti-odor floor drain.
  • Construction Errors: Insufficient slope or misalignment of the offset connector can exacerbate problems. Recommendation: Have professionals perform the operation and strictly inspect the drainage speed upon completion.

Summary: Squat toilet relocation requires a comprehensive evaluation of distance, slope, and materials. Prioritize short-distance relocation and ensure construction specifications are followed to balance functionality and safety.
