Small Hole in Mobile Toilet

Admin October 02, 2026

The issue of a small hole in a mobile toilet needs to be addressed based on the specific cause. Here are common situations and corresponding solutions:

If the small drainage hole is due to size mismatch

  1. Slight size difference (1-2 centimeters): You can choose an elastic waterproof drainage ring, place it over the floor drainage pipe, and then align and fix the toilet base. The elasticity of the drainage ring can naturally fit the gap and compensate for the size difference. If the gap between the base and the floor hole is small, you can fill it with neutral glass glue. After the glue is completely cured (usually taking 24 hours), conduct a flush test to prevent water leakage due to the glue not being fully dry.
  2. Large size difference (more than 2 centimeters) or hole misalignment: If the diameter of the floor hole is much smaller than the toilet drainage hole, or the drainage pipe is blocked by tiles affecting drainage, you can appropriately enlarge the hole. It is recommended to control the enlarged hole diameter at 11-12 centimeters (matching the standard toilet drainage hole). When operating, use professional tools (such as an angle grinder) to cut slowly and avoid the floor waterproof layer. After enlarging the hole, you need to redo the waterproofing (such as applying waterproof coating) to prevent later leakage. If the hole is misaligned, you can use an eccentric drainage ring to adjust the angle so that the drainage pipe aligns with the toilet without the need for hole enlargement.
  3. Special structure or inability to modify the floor: If the original hole has a special structure (such as an irregular hole) or the user does not want to modify the floor, you can choose a compact toilet with a more compact drainage hole design that fits small floor holes. Or you can opt for a wall-mounted toilet, which discharges through the wall and is not restricted by the size of the floor hole at all, but you need to plan the in-wall drainage pipes in advance.

If the small drainage hole is due to blockages

  1. Chemical dissolution method: If the small hole is blocked by residual toilet paper, hair, food residues, or scale, you can first pour hot water mixed with an appropriate amount of baking soda and white vinegar (in a ratio of about 1:1) into the hole and let it sit for half an hour. The acid-base reaction will dissolve some organic matter and scale. Then, turn on the faucet and flush with strong water flow to check if the drainage is smooth.
  2. Mechanical unclogging method: If chemical dissolution is ineffective, you can use a spring-type unclogger. Slowly insert the unclogger into the hole, rotate, stir, and lift it up and down, using the elasticity of the spring to bring out the blockage. When operating, control the force to avoid scratching the inner wall of the pipe (especially plastic pipes). If the blockage is severe, you can combine it with high-pressure water jetting, but be careful not to set the water pressure too high to prevent pipe rupture.

Precautions: Turn off the water source and clear the items in the toilet before handling; It is recommended that hole enlargement or unclogging operations be carried out by professionals to avoid damaging the pipes or the waterproof layer; In daily use, avoid dumping large pieces of debris or chemical cleaners (such as 84 disinfectant) into the toilet to prevent pipe corrosion or accelerated blockage.
