Mobile Toilet Sink Design
Admin October 16, 2026
For the design of mobile toilet sinks, consider moving the sink outside to achieve dry-wet separation and enhance practicality. The specific design methods and key points are as follows:

Design Methods
- Low Wall Partition: Build a low wall slightly taller than the sink between the sink and the aisle. Items such as green plants, small ornaments, or soap dishes can be placed on top. This not only prevents water from the sink from splashing outside but also maintains a visually appealing and practical space.
- Screen Partition: If no wall was built initially, a screen can be added later, made of materials such as glass, metal, or wood, to create a dignified and transparent space.
- Half Wall Partition: Place the sink outside the bathroom and build a small wall about one meter high and one meter and twenty centimeters wide with bricks as a partition. This blocks the height of the countertop, protects privacy, and ensures light and air circulation. If concerned about clutter on the countertop, frosted or long虹 (longhong, a type of textured glass) glass can be installed on the half wall.
- Half Wall + Glass Partition: Use glass for the upper part for light transmission and a half wall for the lower part for waterproofing, combining aesthetics and practicality.
- Glass Partition: Choose a single glass partition, with a width flush with or exceeding the sink by 5 centimeters. It is recommended to use water-ripple glass, long虹 glass, or frosted glass, which are less prone to showing water stains.
- Solid Wall Partition: If the aisle area has sufficient lighting and space, and the sink position is wide enough, a wall can be built from the side of the sink to the ceiling as a partition. This creates a simple and elegant space with good privacy, sound insulation, and odor isolation, suitable for families with three generations living together.
- No Partition Design: Move the sink outside directly without any partition, suitable for young couples living alone. This can alleviate the problem of a damp and smelly bathroom but may pose privacy issues when living with elders.
- Placement on the Balcony: If there is a south-facing or east-facing living balcony at home, the sink can be placed on the balcony alongside the washing machine, sharing the water supply and drainage pipes. The balcony's good ventilation can prevent the countertop from getting damp and breeding bacteria.
Design Key Points
- Drainage: If the sink is adjacent to the bathroom with only a wall in between, the drainage pipe can be connected through the wall. Before construction, pull a vertical pipe in advance to ensure smooth water supply and drainage.
- Waterproofing: The sink has a high water usage, so proper waterproofing is essential after moving it outside. When waterproofing the bathroom, apply waterproofing materials to both the floor and walls of the sink area, with the wall waterproofing preferably reaching a height of 1.5 meters.
- Wall Materials: Choose to tile the walls, which are more waterproof than latex paint or wallpaper and easier to clean. It is best to tile the walls up to a height of 1.2 meters from the floor.
- Floor Materials: It is recommended to tile the floor similarly to the walls. Tiling the entire house can make the space look larger and brighter. If visual distinction is desired, the color schemes of the dry and wet areas should not differ too much.
- Countertop: Install a water barrier on the sink countertop, preferably on both the front and back, to prevent water from flowing onto the floor or seeping into the wall.
- Socket Reservation: Reserve sufficient sockets beside the mirror and under the countertop for convenient use of devices such as electric towel racks and hair dryers.
