Mobile Toilet Sewage Disposal Methods

Admin September 21, 2026

There are mainly the following sewage disposal methods for mobile toilets:

Conventional Water-Flush Type: This is a relatively common sewage disposal method. It requires connection to water supply and drainage pipes, and achieves sewage disposal through manual or automatic sensing. The sewage is discharged into a septic tank or municipal sewer network. This method is suitable for various water-available environments and has relatively low construction costs. However, it relies on a well-established water pipe network and may be restricted in areas with water shortages or without suitable pipe-laying conditions.

Vacuum Sewage System: This system operates based on the principle of negative pressure. It sucks sewage and waste into a collection container through a vacuum pump. When the sewage reaches a preset water level, the vacuum pump automatically starts. This method has relatively high efficiency, uses less water, and effectively prevents sewage leakage and odor diffusion. It is suitable for places with high hygiene requirements and where water conservation is necessary.

Water-Storage Sewage System: It also uses a water-flush method to discharge waste into a storage tank. When the storage tank is full, it needs to be cleaned and replaced. This method is suitable for places with sufficient water supply and easy cleaning, such as areas with a stable water supply and suitable cleaning conditions nearby.

Direct Discharge Type: It is suitable for places with a municipal sewer network nearby, such as city streets and parks. The sewage is directly connected to the municipal sewer network through pipes and is treated collectively by the urban sewage treatment system. It has low construction and operation costs and is simple to operate, but it highly depends on the sewer network and cannot be used if there is no suitable sewer network nearby.

Packing Type: It is suitable for areas with a large flow of people but where frequent cleaning is inconvenient, such as large event venues. Feces are compressed into blocks and stored in the toilet tank, while sewage is discharged through drainage pipes. This method reduces odors and is convenient for transportation and treatment, but the equipment cost is high, and packing materials need to be replenished regularly.

Microbial Degradation Type: It is suitable for places where water access is inconvenient and environmental protection requirements are high, such as scenic spots and野外作业场地 (field operation sites). It uses microbial communities to decompose feces into water, carbon dioxide, and a small amount of residue, which is environmentally friendly and pollution-free, and requires simple maintenance. However, the treatment effect is affected by temperature, and it takes time for the microorganisms to adapt to the environment.

Vacuum Collection Type: It is suitable for places with a high density of people and high hygiene requirements, such as airports and high-speed rail stations. It quickly collects sewage and feces into a storage tank through a vacuum pump, with rapid sewage disposal and the ability to prevent odor overflow. However, the equipment cost is high, the operating energy consumption is large, and the maintenance technical requirements are relatively high.
