How Do Mobile Toilets Dispose of Sewage

Admin September 21, 2026

Mobile toilets have various sewage disposal methods, including direct discharge and fecal tank, conventional water flushing, vacuum sewage systems, water storage sewage systems, and other biodegradation discharge methods.

The direct discharge and fecal tank methods are commonly found in rectangular mobile toilets made of color-coated steel plates. These toilets are equipped with squatting pans, washbasins, and exhaust fans. The direct discharge method requires connection to water supply and drainage pipes to directly discharge sewage, while the fecal tank method collects feces in a specific fecal tank, which is then cleaned and replaced when full.

Conventional water flushing is the most common sewage disposal method for mobile toilets. It requires connection to water supply and drainage pipes and achieves sewage disposal through manual or automatic sensing. Sewage is discharged into septic tanks or municipal sewage networks. This method is suitable for environments with water supply and has relatively low construction costs.

Vacuum sewage systems utilize negative pressure principles for sewage disposal. A vacuum pump sucks sewage and waste into a collection container. When the sewage reaches a preset water level, the system automatically activates for disposal. This method is efficient, uses less water, and effectively prevents leakage and odor diffusion, making it suitable for places with high hygiene requirements.

Water storage sewage systems discharge waste into a storage tank through water flushing. When the sewage reaches a preset water level, the flushing device automatically activates. When the storage tank is full, it needs to be cleaned and replaced. This method is suitable for places with sufficient water supply and easy cleaning.

In addition, some mobile toilets use biodegradation technology for sewage disposal. This technology converts organic matter in sewage into harmless substances for discharge, which is environmentally friendly and reduces pollution, representing a relatively advanced sewage disposal method.

According to sewage treatment methods, mobile toilets can also be classified into different types such as water flushing and non-water flushing suction types, circulating water flushing types, and dry packing types, each corresponding to different sewage disposal principles and characteristics.
