Where Does the Sewage from Mobile Toilets Go?

Admin September 27, 2026

The sewage disposal destinations of mobile toilets vary depending on different sewage treatment methods, mainly including the following situations:

Conventional flushing type: The sewage disposal method of this type of mobile toilet is similar to that of ordinary toilets. It is connected to the upper and lower water pipes and discharges the sewage into the septic tank or municipal sewer network. The septic tank can perform preliminary sedimentation and decomposition treatment on the sewage, reducing solid impurities and harmful substances in the sewage, and then further treatment or discharge is carried out according to the actual situation. If connected to the municipal sewer network, the sewage will flow into the urban sewage treatment plant along the network for centralized treatment and be discharged after meeting the standards.

Vacuum sewage system: It uses the principle of negative pressure. Through a vacuum pump, it generates a strong suction force to quickly suck the sewage and waste into a collection container. The advantages of this method are high sewage disposal efficiency, effective reduction of odor emission, and relatively small collection containers, which are convenient for movement and cleaning. The collected sewage and waste will be subsequently treated by professionals.

Water-storage sewage system: The sewage is discharged into a water storage tank through flushing. When the water storage tank is full, it needs to be manually cleaned and replaced. This method is suitable for places where water is relatively convenient to use and the environmental requirements are not particularly high. The cleaned sewage needs to be properly treated in accordance with relevant regulations to avoid environmental pollution caused by indiscriminate dumping.

Sewage storage tank method: The sewage is directly discharged into a sealed sewage storage tank at the bottom of the mobile toilet. When the sewage storage tank is almost full, a special sewage suction truck is used to extract and transport it to a sewage treatment plant for centralized treatment. This method can prevent sewage leakage, reduce the impact on the surrounding environment, and the layout of mobile toilets is relatively flexible and not restricted by pipes.

Connection to the municipal sewer network: Some mobile toilets are directly connected to the municipal sewer network system through pipes, and the sewage flows into the sewage treatment plant along the network for treatment. This method requires a complete set of municipal sewer network facilities to ensure timely and smooth sewage discharge and treatment.

Biochemical treatment technology: It is equipped with a small-scale biochemical treatment device inside. Through microorganisms, it decomposes the organic matter in the sewage. After the treated sewage meets the discharge standards, it can be directly discharged to a designated place in the natural environment. This method is relatively environmentally friendly and can reduce dependence on external sewage treatment facilities. However, the biochemical treatment device needs regular maintenance and management to ensure its normal operation and treatment effect.
