What is Needed for Mobile Toilet Renovation
Admin October 13, 2026
Mobile toilet renovation requires comprehensive consideration from four aspects: design layout, material selection, construction installation, and functional upgrades, ensuring a balance between functionality and practicality.

Design Layout
Rational space planning is the foundation of renovation. A mobile toilet with a sink typically consists of three functional areas:
- Toilet Area: Reserve at least a 1.2m × 1.5m space to ensure comfort; if a squat toilet is used, consider drainage slope and odor control design.
- Sink Area: The recommended countertop height is 80cm, convenient for people of different heights; plan the positions of faucets, soap dispensers, and drainage pipes in advance to avoid later modifications.
- Storage Area: Can be set in a corner or under the sink for storing toilet paper, hand soap, etc.; it is recommended to use waterproof storage cabinets or open shelves.
Material Selection
Materials should balance durability and moisture resistance:
- Walls and Floor: Prioritize stainless steel plates, PVC panels, or composite panels; the floor should be laid with non-slip tiles or rubber mats to prevent slipping due to water accumulation.
- Sink Countertop: Artificial stone or quartz stone are ideal choices, resistant to stains and easy to clean, and less prone to bacterial growth.
- Doors and Windows: Aluminum alloy materials offer good sealing, effectively blocking odors and protecting privacy; if ventilation is needed, exhaust fans or louvered windows can be added.
- Main Frame: Steel structures form a stable support through welding or bolt connections; the outer layer is covered with metal panels or composite materials, with a waterproof coating or galvanized treatment on the surface to extend service life.
- Ceiling: Luxury PVC ceiling panels are moisture-resistant and easy to disassemble, suitable for modular maintenance, avoiding deformation due to moisture.
Construction Installation
Construction should strictly follow regulations:
- Location Selection: The mobile toilet should be placed at least 5 meters away from the construction or living area to avoid odor diffusion or interference with daily activities.
- Pipes and Circuits: Drainage pipes should maintain a 1%-2% slope to prevent blockage; circuits should be equipped with leakage protection devices, and sockets should be kept away from water sources to avoid electric shock risks.
- Foundation Treatment: Ensure the ground is level; if the foundation is soft, it should be reinforced to prevent structural deformation or doors and windows from failing to open and close properly due to settlement.
Functional Upgrades
Practical configurations can be added according to actual needs:
- Water-saving Design: Install water-saving faucets, which can reduce water consumption by about 30% per month, suitable for construction sites and other scenarios with tight water supplies.
- Storage Optimization: Add sealed storage cabinets under the sink to prevent items from getting damp; install hooks in the toilet area for hanging tool bags or clothing.
- Basic Configurations: Squat toilets, sinks, and ceiling lights are essential facilities; some models are equipped with five-hole sockets and leakage protectors to support night lighting or mobile phone charging.
