Mobile Toilet Execution Standards

Admin September 21, 2026

The execution standards for mobile toilets mainly involve aspects such as dimensions and the configuration of barrier-free facilities, as detailed below:

I. Common Standard Dimensions The common standard dimensions of a mobile public toilet are 2 meters in length, 1.2 meters in width, and 2 meters in height. This size is suitable for the basic structure of an integrated mobile toilet. For individual toilet stalls, the length typically ranges from 1 meter to 1.5 meters, and the width ranges from 85 centimeters to 1.2 meters. Specific dimensions can be adjusted according to actual needs and usage scenarios. For example, smaller stall sizes can be adopted in areas with high foot traffic or where space utilization efficiency is a priority; conversely, stall sizes can be appropriately increased in places where comfort is a higher priority.

II. Requirements for Barrier-Free Toilet Stalls The design of barrier-free toilet stalls must meet higher standards to ensure the convenience of use for special groups such as individuals with disabilities. The clear dimensions should be at least 1.8 meters by 1.5 meters, providing sufficient turning and operating space for wheelchair users. Additionally, a 1.5-meter square wheelchair turning area should be reserved inside the stall to facilitate direction adjustments for wheelchair users. Furthermore, the door width of barrier-free toilet stalls must be at least 80 centimeters wide, and it is preferable to have outward-opening or electric doors. Outward-opening doors can prevent collisions between wheelchairs and door frames when opening, while electric doors further facilitate use by individuals with mobility impairments.

III. Setting Specifications for Barrier-Free Toilets According to relevant regulations, each floor of a public building should be equipped with at least one accessible public restroom that meets barrier-free requirements, or at least one independent barrier-free toilet should be set up near the men's and women's public restrooms. Barrier-free toilets should comply with the relevant provisions of the General Code for Accessibility in Buildings and Municipal Engineering (GB 55019-2021), including but not limited to stall dimensions, door widths, and the configuration of internal facilities. For example, barrier-free toilets should be equipped with handrails, emergency call devices, and other facilities to ensure the safety of users.
