Removal of the Water Tank Below the Mobile Toilet

Admin September 27, 2026

The removal of the water tank below the mobile toilet requires selecting the appropriate steps based on the type of water tank. Common types include ordinary flush tanks and integrated toilet tanks. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Ordinary Flush Tank (Split Toilet Tank)

  1. Turn off the water supply: Locate the inlet valve at the bottom of the toilet or on the wall, and turn it clockwise until it is completely closed to prevent water from overflowing during the removal process.
  2. Empty the tank: Press the flush button to drain the water, and use a sponge or dry cloth to absorb any remaining water to prevent water droplets from splashing during subsequent operations.
  3. Remove the tank cover:
    • If the tank cover can be lifted directly upwards, do so with even force;
    • If there are fixing screws on the edges, use a screwdriver to loosen the screws first, and then remove the cover.
  4. Disconnect the connecting parts:
    • Turn the nut counterclockwise to loosen the connection between the inlet hose and the bottom of the tank, and place a cloth at the interface to prevent water dripping;
    • If there is a drain valve in the tank, first disconnect its lever connection with the flush button to avoid obstruction during subsequent removal.
  5. Remove the fixing bolts: Use a wrench to loosen the fixing bolts on both sides of the bottom of the tank, and then gently lift the tank after removal, being careful to avoid bumping the ceramic surface.

II. Integrated Toilet Tank

  1. Turn off the water supply: Close the inlet valve below the toilet to ensure no water flows into the tank.
  2. Empty the tank: Press the flush button to drain the water, and no additional treatment of the remaining water is required.
  3. Open the tank cover:
    • Direct lifting type: Hold both sides of the tank cover with both hands and lift it vertically upwards;
    • Button snap-fit type: Press the flush button, use a tool to pry open the plastic screw under the button, take out the button, and then lift the tank cover.
  4. Remove the connecting parts:
    • Use a wrench to loosen and remove the screws of the inlet pipe, and separate the lever connection between the drain valve and the flush button;
    • If the screws are rusty and cannot be turned, spray lubricant before operating.
  5. Remove the fixing screws: Locate the 2-4 fixing screws at the bottom and back of the tank, and use a screwdriver or hex wrench to turn them counterclockwise to loosen and remove them.
  6. Move the tank: Hold both sides of the tank with both hands and lift it upwards with even force, being careful to apply gentle force to avoid ceramic breakage.

III. General Precautions

  1. Take photos to record the structure: Before removal, record the positions of complex accessories such as the drain valve chain and float height for easy restoration.
  2. Check for aging of accessories: If there are cracks in the sealing ring or rust on the bolts, replace them together to avoid subsequent water leakage.
  3. Tool use: Use a special wrench or add a rubber pad to the tool to avoid scratching the ceramic surface.
  4. Check for hidden screws: If the tank gets stuck when lifting it, check for any unremoved hidden screws or snaps.

If you are not familiar with the operation, it is recommended to hire a professional for removal and installation.
