Mobile Toilet Air Freshener Making Tutorial

Admin September 27, 2026

The mobile toilet air freshener making tutorial includes two methods: simple toilet water air freshener and professional-grade plant essential oil air freshener, as detailed below:

I. Simple Toilet Water Air Freshener

Materials and Tools: Only toilet water and a small air freshener bottle (such as a glass or plastic bottle with a lid) are needed.
Making Steps:

  1. Pour the toilet water directly into the small air freshener bottle without dilution.
  2. Insert a wick (which can be replaced with a cotton swab, wooden stick, or special reed) to ensure the liquid can slowly evaporate through capillary action.
Usage Method: Place the air freshener bottle beside the sink in the bathroom or on the toilet tank, avoiding direct sunlight and high-temperature environments.
Characteristics: Simple to operate and low in cost, but the fragrance has a relatively short duration (about 3-5 days), suitable for temporary or small-space use.

II. Professional-Grade Plant Essential Oil Air Freshener

Materials and Tools:

  • Materials: 50 grams of natural plant wax (soy wax or beeswax), 15 milliliters of high-purity essential oil (recommended blend of lemongrass/tea tree/mint), 5 milliliters of slow-release regulator (isopropanol or dipropylene glycol), and a heat-resistant glass jar (100ml capacity).
  • Tools: Electronic scale (precision 0.1g), constant-temperature water bath, stainless steel stirring rod, and vacuum-sealed jar.

Safety Precautions:

  1. The operating environment should be well-ventilated (ventilation volume ≥ 30m³/h) to avoid respiratory irritation caused by essential oil evaporation.
  2. Essential oil concentrations exceeding 20% may cause discomfort, and citrus essential oils should be stored away from light (such as lemon and sweet orange).

Making Steps:

  1. Formula Selection:
    • For spaces of 2-3 square meters: Use a volatile formula (25% essential oil + isopropanol).
    • For spaces larger than 5 square meters: Use an adsorptive formula (15% essential oil + plant wax base).
  2. Mixing Materials:
    • Heat the plant wax in a water bath to 75±2℃ until it is completely melted.
    • Remove from heat and cool to 55℃ before adding the essential oil to avoid high temperatures destroying the active ingredients.
    • Stir continuously at 300 revolutions per minute to ensure uniform molecular dispersion.
    • Add the slow-release agent and rapidly cool to 40℃ to prevent uneven crystallization.
  3. Assembling the Device:
    • Lay activated carbon particles at the bottom (to adsorb odors and impurities).
    • Pour the mixed substrate in the middle layer and cover with a microporous ceramic sheet on top (to control the evaporation rate).

Usage and Maintenance:

  1. Placement Position: Place it 1.2-1.5 meters above the ground (such as on top of the toilet tank), avoiding damp areas and directly below exhaust fans.
  2. Replacement Cycle:
    • In environments with humidity > 65%: Replenish 5ml of substrate every 14 days.
    • In dry environments: It can last for 30 days, and replace it thoroughly when the fragrance fades to 40%.
  3. Cleaning and Maintenance: Wipe the inner wall of the container with absolute ethanol every month; when not in use for a long time, freeze the substrate to -18℃ for storage for up to 6 months. Strictly prohibit the use of alkaline cleaners.

Characteristics: The fragrance lasts long (up to 1 month), and the ingredients are natural, but it is necessary to strictly follow the ratios and operating procedures, suitable for scenarios with high air quality requirements.
