Mobile House, Container, Color Steel
Admin September 16, 2026
Mobile houses, containers, and color steel each have distinct characteristics in the field of modular housing and are often used in combination to meet different scenario requirements.

Mobile Houses
Mobile houses emphasize mobility and rapid deployment capabilities. Common types include:
- Folding Type: Utilizes a folding structural design to compress volume during transportation and quickly unfold upon arrival. The unfolding time for a single unit can be controlled within 30 minutes, making it suitable for office needs requiring frequent relocation, such as exploration teams and temporary command centers.
- Assembled Type: Combines light steel frames with color steel plates for on-site modular assembly. It can be flexibly expanded based on the number of occupants and functional zoning, commonly seen in temporary offices in industrial parks and event planning sites.
- Expandable Type: Adds lateral or end expansion modules to containers, increasing usable area by 30%-50% after expansion. It is suitable for long-term on-site offices with higher space comfort requirements.
Containers
As carriers for mobile houses, containers have the characteristics of sturdy structure and convenient transportation:
- Standard Specifications: Common sizes are 20 feet and 40 feet, which can be used individually or combined to form independent office or living units.
- Flexible Modification: After modification, containers can integrate insulation, doors and windows, water and electricity systems, etc., to meet different functional requirements.
- Reusability: Container houses support repeated turnover use, with low transportation costs. When folded, they have a small volume, allowing for higher loading capacity per vehicle or container, significantly saving on land and sea transportation costs.
Color Steel
Color steel is mainly used as wall and roof materials in modular housing, featuring lightweight, high strength, and thermal insulation:
- Material Combination: The panels of color steel houses are usually made of galvanized steel sheets with internal filling of polystyrene or rock wool, forming a sandwich structure that effectively resists wind loads and temperature fluctuations.
- Modular Construction: Color steel houses compensate for ground elevation differences through adjustable steel bases at the bottom, allowing for horizontal splicing or vertical stacking to form multi-story office or dormitory areas.
- Environmental Performance: Color steel materials are recyclable, meeting the requirements of green buildings. Additionally, the construction process does not require wet operations, reducing the generation of construction waste.
