How to Install Doors on Container Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

The methods for installing doors on container houses vary depending on the type of door. Below are the installation steps for common rolling shutter doors and standard container doors:

Rolling Shutter Door Installation

  1. Track Processing
    • Slot Cutting and Hole Drilling: Use a cutting tool to cut a 5cm-long slot on the track. Drill the first hole 20cm away from the slot and the second hole 50cm away from the first hole. This step prepares the track for subsequent fixation and installation, ensuring it can be securely mounted on the frame of the container house.
    • Inserting Felt Strips into the Track: Insert felt strips into the track. The felt strips serve as seals and buffers, preventing dust from entering and reducing noise during the operation of the rolling shutter door.
  2. Motor Side Panel Installation
    • Fixing the Side Panel: Fix the center of the folded piece 12cm from the edge of the side panel using mounting screws. The motor side panel is a crucial component for installing the motor, and its installation position and stability directly affect the normal operation of the motor.
  3. Track Installation
    • Bending the Track: Bend the track according to the installation position and size requirements to ensure it fits perfectly with the frame of the container house.
    • Mounting the Track: Place the track flush with the frame, press the bottom onto the felt strips, and use screws to fix the track to the frame according to the previously drilled holes. Repeat the same operation on the other side. Ensure the track is firmly installed and level to guarantee smooth operation of the rolling shutter door.
  4. Side Panel and Motor Beam Installation
    • Installing the Side Panel: Install the side panel 5cm from the top crossbeam to provide support for motor installation.
    • Installing the Motor Beam: Insert the holes of the motor beam horizontally into the side panel, with the wires facing down. Then insert the positioning pin to secure the motor, ensuring it is firmly installed.
  5. Electrical Connection and Testing
    • Connecting Electrical Components: Connect the remote control, install the socket and transformer, and plug the rolling shutter door into the transformer.
    • Testing and Adjustment: Raise the door for testing and use the limit rod to adjust the limit, ensuring the rolling shutter door can stop and open at the designated positions.

Standard Container Door Installation

  1. Hinge Positioning: First, position and mount the hinges onto the door frame. The hinges are important components connecting the door and the frame, and their accurate positioning directly affects the smoothness of door opening and closing.
  2. Installing Door Panels: Nail two panels onto the door. These panels can level and align the door, ensuring a tight fit between the door and the frame and guaranteeing the door's sealing performance.
  3. Erecting and Adjusting the Door: Stand the door upright and place appropriate supports underneath to ensure it is level. Then make fine adjustments to make the door open and close more flexibly.
