How to Assemble Double Portable Toilet

Admin October 22, 2026

The assembly of a double portable toilet should be carried out step by step according to standardized procedures, with core steps including foundation preparation, main body hoisting, pipeline connection, internal debugging, and external facility installation. The specific operation points are as follows:

Foundation Preparation

Before assembly, conduct a geological survey of the site, focusing on evaluating soil bearing capacity and drainage conditions. If the geological conditions are poor, reinforce the foundation through compaction or replacement. Use a concrete foundation slab as the support platform, with its thickness calculated based on the number of toilet stalls and usage frequency, typically not less than 15 centimeters. When embedding sewage pipeline interfaces, the pipe diameter should be increased by approximately 30% compared to a single toilet. For example, if a conventional single toilet uses a 110-millimeter pipe diameter, the double toilet should be upgraded to 160 millimeters to handle the flow demand of simultaneous sewage discharge from two stalls. The installation pit for the septic tank should reserve sufficient space, with a capacity matching the total load of two stalls over 24 hours. Generally, it is recommended to choose a finished septic tank with a capacity of 3-5 cubic meters.

Main Body Hoisting Stage

Use professional lifting equipment (such as a truck crane) to transport the prefabricated toilet unit to the site. Before hoisting, confirm that the lifting point arrangement has undergone bearing capacity calculations, typically using a four-point hoisting method to ensure balance. During installation, check whether the sealing strip between the base and the foundation slab is intact. If there is any damage, replace it promptly to avoid water leakage later. Arrange for a dedicated person to direct the hoisting process to prevent collisions between the toilet unit and surrounding facilities.

Pipeline Connection Operations

  • Water Inlet Pipeline: Equip with dual independent valve controls to connect to the flushing systems of the two toilet stalls respectively. The valve installation position should be easy to operate and clearly labeled with usage instructions to avoid affecting the normal use of one stall during maintenance of the other.
  • Sewage Pipeline: Use an inclined tee connector to merge the sewage pipes of the two stalls into the main pipe. The inclination angle should be strictly constructed according to specifications (usually 3%-5%) to ensure smooth sewage discharge. The connection should use rubber sealing rings or hot-melt welding processes to prevent leakage.

Internal Equipment Debugging

  • Sanitary Ware Debugging: Adjust the water pressure of the water-saving flushing valve to 0.2-0.3 megapascals to ensure flushing effectiveness while avoiding water waste. For air volume detection of the ventilation system, use an anemometer. A double-connected structure usually shares a set of ventilation main pipes, and it is necessary to maintain balanced air pressure in the exhaust branches of each stall (with an error not exceeding 10%) to avoid odor backflow.
  • Electrical System Inspection: Confirm that the lighting system, exhaust fans, and other equipment are properly grounded and that the wiring is intact. The power supply lines should be protected with waterproof sleeves, and the interfaces should be treated with professional sealant to prevent short circuits caused by a humid environment.

External Auxiliary Facility Installation

When installing the lighting system, arrange the lamps reasonably according to the layout of the toilet stalls to ensure shadow-free use at night. The identification signs should be made of reflective materials, with content including stall directions, usage instructions, etc. The installation position of the night warning lights should be calculated based on the line-of-sight angle, usually installed on the top or side of the toilet to ensure clear visibility from all directions.
