Materials for Home Small Mobile Toilets
Common materials for home small mobile toilets include metal materials, plastic/composite materials, wooden materials, and other special functional materials. The specific choice should be made by comprehensively considering the usage scenario, cost, and performance requirements.

Among metal materials, aluminum alloy is the mainstream choice for the framework and skeleton of mobile toilets. Its density is only one-third that of steel, making it lightweight and highly corrosion-resistant. Surface treatments such as oxidation or fluorocarbon spraying can further enhance its rust resistance, making it suitable for frequent movement or humid environments. Stainless steel is mostly used for internal hardware (such as water tanks and pipes), door hinges, and exterior finishes. It has extremely strong corrosion resistance, making it particularly suitable for coastal or high-humidity areas. However, it is more expensive (about 1.5-2 times the cost of aluminum alloy) and difficult to process, so it is usually only used for small-area components.
In terms of plastic/composite materials, PVC panels are often used for internal partitions, wall panels, and ceiling panels due to their waterproof, moisture-proof, and easy-to-clean properties. With a density of approximately 1.4-1.6g/cm³, they are lightweight and low-cost (50-150 yuan per square meter). Their surfaces can be printed with patterns to enhance aesthetics, but it is important to choose products that comply with environmental standards (such as RoHS). Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), composed of resin and glass fibers, has a strength close to that of steel and weighs only one-fourth to one-third of steel. It is corrosion-resistant and aging-resistant, making it suitable for use as an outer shell or overall structure. However, its surface is prone to scratches and has high repair costs, requiring regular maintenance.
Among wooden materials, pressure-treated anti-corrosion wood can be used for interior decoration or exterior frameworks. It has a natural texture and is easy to process, but it requires regular application of anti-corrosion coatings and may deform in high-humidity environments. It is generally used in scenic spots or homestays where aesthetics are highly valued and is not recommended as a structural material. Ecological wood, composed of wood powder and plastic, combines the appearance of wood with the durability of plastic. It has better waterproof and insect-resistant properties than natural wood, but its heat resistance is poor, so it should be avoided from prolonged exposure to sunlight. Its price is about 1.2-1.5 times that of anti-corrosion wood, making it suitable for scenarios with a limited budget and a pursuit of a natural style.
Among other materials, rock wool sandwich panels are used for ceiling panels or partition walls. Filled with rock wool (density ≥ 80kg/m³), they effectively provide sound insulation and thermal insulation and have a fire rating of Class A, making them suitable for crowded areas. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) panels have high strength, impact resistance, and UV resistance, and are commonly used for bottom and exterior decorations. They cost about 200-500 yuan per square meter and are suitable for long-term outdoor use.
