Field Mobile Toilet Installation

Admin September 22, 2026

The installation of field mobile toilets should follow the steps below to ensure safety and proper functionality:

I. Pre-installation Preparation

  1. Site Inspection and Confirmation

    • Conduct an on-site inspection of the ground conditions at the intended installation location, which should be a concrete-hardened surface or a stable foundation that has been compacted to ensure flatness and firmness.
    • Confirm that there are no underground pipelines, cables, or other obstacles beneath and around the installation point, and reserve sufficient space for the entry and exit of transport vehicles and lifting equipment.
  2. Foundation Treatment

    • Select the foundation type based on the size and weight of the toilet:
      • Concrete foundation: Pour a platform according to the design dimensions, embed fixed bolts or components, and ensure the surface is level.
      • Asphalt or hardened ground: Suitable for lightweight or temporary toilets, ensuring the ground is firm and flat.
      • Matching piers: Use pre-fabricated concrete piers or steel structural piers to level the toilet body.
    • After completing the foundation, verify the levelness to prevent deformation of the toilet body or improper opening and closing of the door frame due to an uneven foundation.
  3. Equipment and Personnel Preparation

    • Prepare equipment such as cranes, forklifts, spirit levels, wrenches, and electrical tools. Installation personnel should be familiar with the structural process and possess knowledge of lifting and electrical operations.
    • Inspect the toilet body transported to the site for any visible damage and ensure all accessories are complete.

II. Positioning and Fixing the Main Toilet Body

  1. Lifting and Positioning

    • Use a crane or forklift to lift the toilet body steadily. The lifting ropes should be attached to the designated lifting points on the steel structural frame at the bottom of the toilet body to avoid directly hooking the roof or walls.
    • Slowly move it above the foundation, align it with the embedded bolts or structure, and then lower it gently to ensure the fixing holes at the bottom of the toilet body are fully in contact with the foundation.
  2. Leveling and Fixing

    • Use a spirit level to measure the levelness at multiple points on the bottom frame of the toilet body. If there is any tilt, use thin steel plate shims to adjust it to a level position.
    • After leveling, tighten the nuts to connect the toilet body's fixing components with the embedded bolts to prevent displacement due to wind or external forces.

III. Connecting the Piping System

  1. Water Supply System Connection

    • Use PPR pipes or PE pipes and other drinking-water-grade materials to connect the external water supply network to the reserved water supply interface of the toilet body. Seal the connection points with Teflon tape or sealant to prevent leaks.
  2. Sewage Discharge System Connection

    • If there is a sewage pipeline in the field, first check its smoothness and then connect the toilet's sewage pipe to it. If there is no sewage pipeline, select a sewage discharge method such as packing or microbial degradation according to the type of toilet.

IV. Detail Handling and Finalization

  • Clean the interior and exterior of the toilet, check and tighten all bolts and nuts to prevent loosening that could affect use or pose safety hazards.
  • Develop a daily maintenance plan and regularly inspect the sealing of the pipelines and the structural stability to ensure long-term normal use.
