European Portable Toilets

Admin September 20, 2026

European portable toilets come in a variety of types, including customized, portable, vintage, and more, meeting the needs of different scenarios.

1. Customized European-style Portable Toilets
These toilets are characterized by high-end customization. The main body is made of ivory-white metal carved panels, featuring a blend of European elegance and modern craftsmanship. Inside, there are separate spaces for two men and two women, with a marble basin in the middle, balancing practicality and aesthetics. Their design is typically aimed at large-scale events, scenic spots, or high-end venues, requiring advance planning and on-site installation. Although the cost is relatively high, they can provide stable sanitation services.

2. Portable Leaf Toilets
Designed by German designer Eva Tint, these toilets mimic the shape of leaves and are made of lightweight, eco-friendly materials. When folded, they measure only about 12×28 centimeters and can easily fit into a woman's handbag. Inside, they are equipped with super-absorbent agents that can convert liquids into gels and prevent leakage, with usage instructions printed on the bottom. These products first made an appearance during the 2008 European Cup, aiming to solve the problem of long queues for women's public restrooms. After being mass-produced by German companies in 2009, their application scenarios gradually expanded to car travel, open-air concerts, outdoor sports, etc. Due to their portability and privacy, they have gradually been accepted by male users as well.

3. Vintage Mobile Toilets
Commonly seen at early European markets or gatherings, these toilets are structured as wooden boxes with wheels, with tattered burlap curtains hanging outside for privacy. These toilets are mobile and flexible but have limited sanitation conditions, mainly serving temporary, low-frequency usage needs. They have gradually been replaced by modern portable toilets and now only appear as props in some cultural exhibitions or historical scene restorations.

4. Export-standard Portable Toilets for Europe and America
Some companies have developed standardized portable toilet products for the European and American markets, typically using modular designs for easy transportation and assembly. The materials are mostly high-strength plastics or metals, equipped with septic tanks, ventilation systems, and simple lighting, suitable for construction sites, disaster relief, and other scenarios. These products need to comply with standards such as the EU CE certification, emphasizing durability and environmental protection.

The development of European portable toilets reflects an evolution from basic functionality to humanized design, incorporating both the continuation of traditional craftsmanship and the integration of modern technology and environmental protection concepts, meeting the diverse needs of different user groups and scenarios.
