Dimensions of Mobile Toilets

Admin October 13, 2026

The dimensions of mobile toilets vary depending on their type and functional requirements. Common specifications can be categorized into four types: single-unit, double-unit, multi-functional, and large container-style, with clear standards for the dimensions of internal functional areas.

The single-unit mobile toilet is the basic type, typically measuring between 1.2 and 1.5 meters in length, 1.0 to 1.2 meters in width, and 2.2 to 2.5 meters in height. Its compact design makes it suitable for construction sites, small events, and other scenarios with limited space and low usage frequency. Due to its small size, it usually contains only one toilet cubicle, offering limited functionality but facilitating rapid deployment and mobility.

The double-unit mobile toilet expands upon the single-unit design, measuring 2.4 to 3.0 meters in length, 1.2 to 1.5 meters in width, and maintaining the same height as the single-unit (2.2 to 2.5 meters). By increasing the space, this type of toilet can accommodate two independent toilet cubicles or one cubicle plus a management room, making it suitable for large events, tourist attractions, and other scenarios requiring simultaneous use by multiple people. Its modular structure remains easy to transport and assemble.

The multi-functional mobile toilet represents a further upgrade, measuring 3.0 to 4.5 meters in length, 2.0 to 2.5 meters in width, and 2.5 to 3.0 meters in height. This type of toilet not only offers more space but may also integrate facilities such as sinks, mirrors, ventilation systems, and even accessible toilet cubicles. It is suitable for high-end events, long-term fixed locations (such as parks and commercial areas), and other scenarios with high demands for comfort and functionality. Its design focuses more on user experience but also increases costs and transportation difficulties accordingly.

The large container-style mobile toilet is the largest type, with lengths exceeding 6 meters and widths exceeding 2.5 meters. Its internal structure is complex, potentially including multiple male and female toilet cubicles, accessible toilets, and management rooms, as well as infrastructure such as septic tanks and water and electricity systems. It is suitable for temporarily replacing fixed public toilets or handling large crowds (such as music festivals and sports events). This type of toilet usually requires professional vehicles for transportation and lifting, with a longer deployment cycle.

In terms of internal functional area dimensions, the net width of a toilet cubicle should generally not be less than 0.85 meters, ideally reaching 0.9 to 1.0 meters, and the net depth should be guaranteed to be between 1.2 and 1.5 meters to ensure sufficient activity space for users. Accessible toilet cubicles have higher requirements, with an internal net width typically needing to exceed 1.5 meters and a net depth exceeding 1.8 meters, equipped with handrails, emergency call devices, and other facilities to meet the needs of disabled users.
