Container House Roof Leakage
Container house roof leakage may be caused by loose fasteners, unqualified waterproof materials, construction defects, structural deformation, or poor drainage, requiring targeted maintenance and repair.

Loose or Aged Fasteners
During the installation and use of container houses, if the roof is stepped on, it may cause the fasteners to loosen. Additionally, the aging of the waterproof pads of the fasteners can also lead to leakage. Regularly inspect the roof fasteners, promptly tighten loose components, and replace aged waterproof pads.
Unqualified or Aged Waterproof Materials
If inferior waterproof materials are used during construction or if there are defects in the waterproofing process, container houses are prone to leakage due to material aging after long-term use. Remove the original waterproof layer, reapply qualified waterproof coatings or lay waterproof membranes, and ensure tight sealing at the joints.
Construction Defects
- Improper Node Treatment: Cracks around openings such as roof fans and exhaust pipes, if not properly waterproofed, or if cracks at the joints of movable house panels expand, can damage the original waterproof layer. Add waterproof additional layers at the nodes and reseal the cracks.
- Poor Drainage System: A lack of slope in the horizontal direction of the gutter, unreasonable design of the outlet, or rusting and clogging of the gutter can lead to rainwater backflow or water leakage due to ponding. Clear debris from the gutter, repair rusted areas, and adjust the drainage slope to ensure rapid rainwater discharge.
Structural Deformation
Under the action of wind loads, snow loads, or thermal expansion and contraction, the roof panels of container houses may deform, causing cracks at the joints to expand. Inspect the deformation of the roof panels, replace or reinforce severely deformed parts, and reapply waterproofing.
Drainage Design Defects
If the roof is not designed with a reasonable drainage slope or if the drainage outlets are blocked by fallen leaves and silt, rainwater will accumulate and penetrate the roof. Clear debris from the drainage outlets to ensure smooth drainage and add drainage slopes or guide troughs to the roof.
