Zhuzhou Baqiao Mobile Toilet
The Zhuzhou Baqiao mobile toilet was installed in August 2024. Although there are some issues, there are rectification measures in place.
Basic Information
The public toilet at Baqiao Night Market was installed in August 2024. Its main purpose is to meet the needs of night market vendors and also provide convenience for leisurely citizens. The toilet is equipped with a collection tank, which mainly serves to collect sewage and feces, preventing them from being directly discharged into the Xiang River and thus playing a certain role in protecting the water quality of the Xiang River.
Existing Issues
- Poor sanitary conditions: During the closure of the Baqiao Night Market, a journalist's experience revealed that there was a significant amount of dirt on the urinals in the men's toilet. Moreover, this toilet does not rely on automatic sensor-based flushing but requires users to manually turn on the faucet to flush, which adds a certain degree of inconvenience and may lead some users to skip flushing due to the hassle. Additionally, there were two squat toilets with unflushed feces, seriously affecting the sanitary environment of the toilet.
- Small advertisement problem: There are numerous small advertisements with inappropriate content pasted or printed inside the toilet. These advertisements not only mar the overall aesthetics of the toilet but may also spread undesirable information, having a negative impact on users, especially teenagers.
Rectification Measures
Staff from Zhuzhou Circular Economy Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd. stated that the Baqiao Night Market has been closed for several months, and the company has arranged for cleaning staff to be responsible for sanitation. Regarding the situations reported by the journalist, they will conduct verification and make rectifications, indicating that the company attaches importance to the issues in the toilet and has a proactive attitude towards solving them. At the same time, the company also calls on citizens to jointly protect the environmental sanitation of this public toilet, which helps raise citizens' environmental awareness and jointly maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the public toilet.
