Zhenjiang Street Mobile Toilet Design

Admin October 16, 2026

The design of mobile toilets on Zhenjiang streets focuses on transforming 'troublesome matters' into 'warm-hearted initiatives', reflecting care for people's livelihoods and urban civilization through aspects such as aesthetics, details, functionality, and long-term management.

In terms of aesthetic design, the appearance of public toilets harmonizes with the surrounding landscape, integrating into daily life scenes. Public toilets in different locations are designed according to the characteristics of their surrounding environments. For example, the public toilet in Shizishan Park features a color scheme that matches the green trees and lawns, and an original wooden rest chair is added at the entrance, which is both aesthetically pleasing and practical, providing convenience for tourists to rest. The public toilet next to Zhongshan Road Primary School has an appearance that aligns with the fresh campus style, featuring pink and white walls and simple windows, resembling a convenient small house that complements the campus environment and reduces the abruptness of the public toilet.

Regarding detailed design, the needs of different groups are fully considered, with the addition of child-friendly, elderly-friendly, and disabled-friendly designs. The baby changing table adopts a foldable design, which can be folded up when not in use to save space. The tabletop is equipped with soft cushions and wet wipes, providing convenience for mothers to take care of their babies. The stalls are equipped with barrier-free handrails that are sturdy and positioned low for easy use by the elderly and disabled. An SOS emergency call device is installed next to the toilet, which can send out a distress signal in case of an emergency, ensuring the safety of users.

In terms of functional design, it goes beyond the single function of toileting and explores a 'public toilet +' service model. Relying on the supporting rooms of public toilets, convenient service stations are built, integrating the functions of 'Pioneer Stations', worker service stations, and garbage classification experience huts. The stations are equipped with facilities such as air conditioners, water dispensers, and microwaves, providing convenience for delivery riders, sanitation workers, and citizens to rest, drink water, and heat food, making the public toilets a comprehensive service venue.

Regarding long-term management, the 'four-fixed' work method of 'fixed personnel, fixed posts, fixed times, and fixed responsibilities' is implemented to ensure that the public toilets are clean and reassuring. Cleaners clean and disinfect the toilets at fixed times every day and display the attendance sheets on the wall for public supervision. Full-time administrators conduct patrols in different areas and strictly implement the 'four-clean and odor-free' standard. At the same time, technologies such as sensor flushing and intelligent deodorization are popularized to improve the sanitation level and user experience of public toilets.
