Zhejiang Mobile Toilet Water Supply Incident

Admin September 23, 2026

The incident where a Zhejiang mobile service hall was accused of using toilet tap water as bottled water for customers is currently under the handling of the Health Bureau, and the security guard once claimed that the video content was incorrect. Here are the details:

Incident Exposure

On March 20, 2024, a mobile service hall in Yiwu, Zhejiang, was exposed to have a serious problem. The security guard involved posted a video to report the issue. The video showed that the bottled water on the water dispenser had the words 'Love Water Supply Point' written on it. However, the part of the water barrel near the water outlet had a greenish tint, and the security guard claimed that the water had turned green and smelly. Providing water with potential hygiene issues for customers to drink seriously violates basic hygiene and service standards, triggering widespread public concern and worry.

Incident Handling Progress

After discovering this situation, the security guard couldn't stand such misconduct and reported it online and also called the local police station. After receiving the report, the local police said that the Health Bureau was handling the matter. As the department responsible for public health and health-related affairs, the Health Bureau's involvement means a comprehensive investigation of the incident, including water quality testing and a review of the service hall's hygiene management, to determine whether there are any illegal acts and the severity of the problem.

Incident Reversal Situation

However, on March 22, the security guard involved claimed that due to emotional issues, the content of the video he posted on the 20th was incorrect, and his job had been restored. But when asked about the specific incorrect content, the security guard did not respond to the reporter. This situation has made the incident more complex and confusing. It is still unclear whether the security guard's initial report was false or if there are other hidden circumstances. The public is also waiting for the investigation results from the Health Bureau to find out whether the mobile service hall really used toilet tap water as bottled water for customers and how it will be handled and rectified subsequently.
