Yichuan Simple Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

Yichuan simple container houses generally refer to modular container buildings used for temporary living or office purposes in the Yichuan area. They are characterized by environmental protection, energy efficiency, flexible combination, and convenient disassembly and transportation. However, attention should be paid to the fire resistance of materials and fire safety regulations.

Structure and Types

Simple container houses are based on steel structural frames, with walls often using rock wool, glass wool, or polyurethane sandwich panels, and floors commonly using cement fiber boards or steel-wood composite floors. Common types include:

  • Packing-box container houses: These use hot-dip galvanized cold-formed steel frames paired with fire-resistant polyurethane sandwich panels. They can be used independently or stacked in multiple layers, suitable for construction site dormitories and office areas.
  • Light steel keel houses: These use cold-formed thin-walled light steel keels for load-bearing, with walls filled with insulation materials. The appearance and layout can be customized, suitable for self-built houses and homestays.
  • Quick-assembly container houses: These feature a modular design without welding, connected by carriage bolts for quick construction, low cost, and easy mobility.

Advantages and Characteristics

  • Environmentally friendly and economical: Materials are recyclable, with lower costs than traditional buildings. The construction period is short, reducing on-site wet work.
  • Flexible and convenient: The modular design supports rapid assembly and disassembly. A 6-meter vehicle can carry 6 units, and a 17.5-meter flatbed truck can carry 20 units, resulting in low transportation costs.
  • Durable and safe: The structure is stable, resistant to earthquakes, wind, and rain leaks. With proper use, they have a long lifespan, and some products can be folded repeatedly up to 500 times.

Fire Safety Hazards and Regulations

  • Material risks: Some low-priced products use flammable sandwich materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam, which burn quickly and are highly toxic. It is necessary to choose A-grade fire-resistant materials such as rock wool panels and fire-resistant cotton.
  • Safety distance: Container houses should be kept at least 6 meters apart to prevent the spread of fire.
  • Electrical safety: Wires and cables should be protected with sleeves. Socket and switch boxes should be metal galvanized and surface-mounted, equipped with simple fire extinguishing equipment.
  • Usage regulations: Heat sources and open flames should be kept away from the houses. Open flame operations should maintain a safe distance, and electrical circuits should be inspected regularly.

Application Scenarios

Widely used in construction site dormitories, temporary office areas, field operation houses, temporary houses in tourist attractions, and emergency living scenarios. The appropriate type should be selected based on the usage period and functional requirements.
