Yangzhou Prefabricated Housing Assembly
Yangzhou has multiple project practices and policy initiatives in the field of prefabricated housing assembly construction.
In terms of project practices, the NO.2025G11 Plot Project is a flagship prefabricated high-quality residential project in Jiangdu District, set to be a key focus in 2026. Located in the core area of Longchuan South Road, it has a total construction area of approximately 65,000 square meters. It adopts a prefabricated concrete structure (PC structure), covering all building components such as residential units and supporting facilities. It is a fully furnished community, demonstrating the comprehensive application of prefabricated construction in the residential sector.
The Baoying 2024JY22 Plot Project explicitly adopts prefabricated construction technology, with a total construction area of approximately 114,200 square meters. The scope of the general construction contract is extensive, including civil engineering, installation, decoration, and other aspects, showing the applicability of prefabricated construction in large-scale comprehensive projects.
In the Tianshan Xincun Resettlement Area Phase II Project, some buildings adopt prefabricated assembly construction, using various prefabricated components such as prefabricated prestressed composite slabs and prefabricated beams. The prefabrication rate reaches 47%, making it the first prefabricated concrete residential building project in Yangzhou City and providing an example for the application of prefabricated construction in the resettlement housing sector.
In terms of policy initiatives, the Yangzhou Municipal Government Office has forwarded the Implementation Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Prefabricated Construction issued by the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau. It specifies that by 2025, the proportion of prefabricated construction in newly built buildings across the city should average over 50%. It also sets out regulations on the scope of application of prefabricated construction and requirements for prefabrication rates, providing policy support and guidance for the development of prefabricated construction. The implementation of these policies and projects will help promote the high-quality development of prefabricated housing assembly construction in Yangzhou, enhance the level of building industrialization, and facilitate the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.
