Xinjiang Container House Standards
Admin September 15, 2026
Currently, there is no unified provincial standard for container houses in Xinjiang. Their specifications, performance, and configurations are primarily based on enterprise production standards, project requirements, and national standards (such as general requirements for fire prevention and thermal insulation). Different regions (such as Horgos) may have differentiated configurations due to climatic characteristics.

I. Enterprise Production Standards and Product Categories
Container houses produced by multiple enterprises in Xinjiang (such as Falilai, Zhongchi Duobang, Zhongxin Cheng, etc.) are centered around modular design, with a product range covering high-end, mid-range, and standard types:
- High-end Packing Box Units: Utilizing modular design, they feature thermal insulation, fire prevention, and moisture resistance, and can be stacked in multiple layers, suitable for scenarios such as offices and exhibition centers.
- Mid-range Box-type Houses: Balancing economy and comfort, they are widely used in construction site dormitories, canteens, and conference rooms, and are the mainstream choice for temporary housing in medium to large-scale projects.
- Standard Box-type Houses: Standardized in specifications (such as 3 meters × 6 meters), easy to install, and cost-effective, suitable for short-term rentals or large-scale temporary settlements.
II. Specifications and Performance Requirements
- Size Specifications: The common standard size is 3 meters × 6 meters (approximately 18 square meters), with widened sizes including 3 meters × 7 meters and 3 meters × 8 meters. Some enterprises can customize sizes such as 4 meters, 6 meters, 8 meters, and 12 meters.
- Structural Performance: Utilizing high-strength steel, high-quality color-coated panels, and thermal insulation materials, they possess wind resistance, earthquake resistance, and corrosion resistance, with a service life of over 15 years. For example, in the Horgos region, due to severe winter cold, container houses need to be equipped with ≥100mm thickened thermal insulation layers and designs resistant to strong winds and snow accumulation.
- Fire Prevention Requirements: Some products use Class A fire-resistant materials (such as rock wool thermal insulation layers), complying with national fire prevention standards.
III. Regional Differentiated Configurations
- Horgos Region: Due to its border location and severe cold climate, container houses need enhanced thermal insulation performance (such as double-glazed windows and bottom freeze-proof insulation), with prices 15%-30% higher than those in the North China region.
- North China Region: With a mature industrial base and a complete supply chain, products are primarily standardized in configuration, with relatively transparent prices (such as simple basic models ranging from 6000 to 8500 yuan per set).
