In recent years, the urban management and sanitation department of Xining City has focused on the toilet shortage problem in popular areas. In densely populated and highly mobile areas such as the extension section of Kunlun Avenue, Baojie Street, and Xianan Guan Street, 25 mobile public restrooms have been added. The commissioning of these mobile public restrooms has significantly alleviated the toilet pressure during peak hours of pedestrian traffic. For example, during holidays or large-scale events, the pedestrian flow in popular areas surges. The existing fixed public restrooms are unable to meet the demand, and the newly added mobile public restrooms can quickly supplement toilet resources, preventing citizens and tourists from waiting in long lines. Meanwhile, with the addition of these 25 mobile public restrooms, the total number of sanitation public restrooms in the city has increased to 440, further enhancing the restroom density. The increase in restroom density means that citizens and tourists can find a public restroom within a shorter distance, greatly facilitating daily life and travel and improving the city's public service level.
Reserving Mobile Eco-Friendly Restrooms to Support Major Events
To ensure the smooth conduct of various major festivals and events, Xining City has also reserved 11 mobile eco-friendly restrooms. These mobile eco-friendly restrooms have the advantage of flexible deployment and can be quickly arranged at the event site according to actual needs. During major festivals and events, the event site has a high concentration of people, and the demand for restrooms increases significantly. The reserved mobile eco-friendly restrooms can promptly respond to such changes in demand, be quickly installed and put into use, providing convenient toilet services for event participants. Moreover, mobile eco-friendly restrooms usually adopt eco-friendly materials and technologies, which not only meet usage needs but also reduce the impact on the environment, aligning with the concept of green development in modern cities.
