Xilinguole Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

The Xilinguole mobile toilet is an environmentally friendly excreta treatment facility designed for the outdoor environment in Inner Mongolia, playing a crucial role in ecological protection, event services, and resource recycling.

I. Ecological Protection Role

The ecosystems of Inner Mongolia's grasslands and deserts are fragile, and traditional excreta treatment methods can easily lead to the spread of pathogens and soil pollution. Mobile toilets use physical isolation structures (such as toilet bowls and fecal storage tanks) to achieve immediate collection of excreta, cutting off direct contact between pollutants and surface soil and vegetation, reducing the risk of nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients infiltrating the soil, and thus protecting grasslands and groundwater resources. For example, in the Xilingol Grassland, where the surface soil has a thin humus layer and weak self-purification capacity, the deployment of mobile toilets can avoid the potential impact of traditional dry toilets on groundwater quality.

II. Scientific Deployment in Grassland Events

Taking the Xilingol Marathon as an example, the siting of mobile toilets requires comprehensive consideration of terrain, wind direction, and groundwater level data:

  • Siting Basis: Toilets are usually deployed 30-50 meters downwind of the race track, avoiding seasonal rivers and herdsmen's water intake points to prevent odor diffusion and water source pollution.
  • Deployment Mode: At the start and finish lines, vehicle-mounted toilet clusters are used, equipped with vacuum sewage systems and urine-separating squat toilets, with each module containing 6-8 independent compartments; at the mid-race refueling points, trailer-mounted toilets are used, with each unit equipped with 30-liter biodegradable bags for quick collection.
  • Modular Advantages: The composite solution supports the completion of equipment hoisting within 4 hours after the race, reducing the duration of grassland vegetation being rolled over and lowering the risk of ecological damage.

III. Efficient Operation and Maintenance and Resource Recycling

The operation and maintenance mechanism of mobile toilets emphasizes harmless treatment and resource utilization:

  • Pre-set Coagulant: A cellulose-based coagulant is added to the fecal storage tank, converting liquid excreta into a gel state within 5 minutes, reducing the risk of leakage.
  • Vacuum Sewage Suction and Solid-Liquid Separation: The operation and maintenance team uses GPS-positioned sewage suction trucks to巡回 (make rounds) for suction every 2 hours. The solids are converted into organic soil conditioners through high-temperature composting, and the liquids are filtered through microporous membranes to meet agricultural irrigation standards.
  • Ecological Closed Loop: The treated conditioners are used for the restoration of degraded grasslands, and the filtered water is used for dust suppression on the race track. The lessor is required to submit an Excreta Treatment Flow Certificate to ensure full traceability of the entire process.

The Xilinguole mobile toilet achieves a balance between outdoor activities and ecological protection through scientific design, precise deployment, and closed-loop operation and maintenance, providing a sustainable solution for public health services in fragile environments.
