Xijie Mobile Toilet
The mobile toilets in Xijie mainly include three types: mobile toilet buses, special mobile toilets for scenic spots, and toilets built according to the customized supply standards for public restrooms.

Mobile Toilet Buses
Before the May Day holiday, the Licheng District Urban Management Bureau set up mobile toilet buses at locations such as the Quanzhou Film Studio and Zhongmin Baihui Xinhua Store on Xijie. Two buses at the Quanzhou Film Studio and Zhongmin Baihui Xinhua Store locations were officially put into use on the morning of April 24, and the remaining two were in place before the holiday. Their exterior is blue and white, similar to that of ordinary buses. The interior layout is reasonable. Upon entering the door, there is a hand-washing area equipped with washbasins, mirrors, and other facilities. On both sides of the carriage are the men's and women's restrooms, with a total of 8 single rooms, 6 for women and 2 for men, and 4 men's urinals. At the same time, they are equipped with exhaust systems, temperature control systems, assistive handrails, and other facilities to enhance the comfort of users. During peak holiday periods, each mobile toilet bus is staffed with dedicated cleaning personnel who adopt a "use-and-clean" approach and are equipped with deodorizers in the vehicle to ensure the sanitary condition of the toilets.
Special Mobile Toilets for Scenic Spots
As a popular scenic spot, Xijie is equipped with such toilets. Their exterior design usually blends in with the scenic spot environment, with some adopting an antique style and others having a more modern feel, allowing them to fit well into the surrounding environment. The interior facilities are relatively complete, such as toilet paper and hand soap, and some are equipped with barrier-free facilities and baby care rooms to facilitate use by different groups of people. Moreover, mobile toilets in scenic spots are generally distributed more densely to meet the needs of a large number of tourists, and the sanitary conditions are relatively good.
Customized Supply for Public Restrooms
As a core scenic spot in Yangshuo, Xijie has a large number of tourists on a single day during holidays. The design of public restrooms is based on the peak pedestrian flow at different locations, scientifically configuring the ratio of men's and women's toilet stalls. Usually, the ratio of men's to women's toilet stalls is set at one to two or even higher, while adding third restrooms, baby care tables, and barrier-free facilities. The exterior adopts elements such as sloped roofs and blue bricks, with colors mainly in low-saturation tones to blend in with the natural environment. In terms of structural functionality, corrosion-resistant materials are selected, the floor is slip-resistant, and the ventilation system uses a combination of low-level air supply and high-level negative pressure exhaust. Some locations introduce rainwater recycling for flushing and waterless urinal technology. In terms of maintenance convenience, an integrated wall-mounted process is adopted, with water pipes and sensor access ports concentrated in a public operation room, and the washbasin is an under-counter type.
