Xihua Construction Site Worker Portable Toilet

Admin October 11, 2026

The portable toilets used by workers at the Xihua construction site are movable facilities designed to meet the sanitation needs of temporary locations such as construction sites. Different types and configurations can be selected based on actual requirements.

Structure and Material Selection

Portable toilets commonly come in two structures: integrated and modular. Integrated toilets are manufactured using a one-piece forming process, such as metal carved panel walls paired with stainless steel internal structures, offering corrosion and rust resistance, suitable for long-term use on construction sites, and maintaining structural stability over time. Modular toilets use a steel frame as the structure, covered with sandwich panels (such as rock wool or color-coated steel), which can be disassembled for transport and assembled on-site, providing high flexibility. For example, a single-squat public restroom with dimensions of 1.1×1.1×2.3m can be easily adjusted according to the site layout.

Sewage Disposal Method Adaptation

The sewage disposal method should be selected based on site conditions:

  • Water-flush direct-discharge type: Requires connection to municipal sewage pipes or a septic tank, offering a user experience similar to household restrooms, but dependent on sewage disposal conditions, suitable for sites with mature sewage systems nearby.
  • Foam-sealing type: Uses foaming liquid to flush and seal odors, saving water and suitable for sites with water scarcity or inconvenient sewage disposal, reducing water consumption.
  • Microbial degradation type: Decomposes feces into water and carbon dioxide through microorganisms, achieving zero discharge, equipped with a fiberglass septic tank, corrosion-resistant and easy to install, suitable for projects with high environmental requirements, avoiding the impact of sewage discharge on the environment.

Functional Configuration Optimization

Some models are equipped with independent squat positions, ventilation systems, lighting devices, odor control modules, and even sinks and sewage storage tanks, enhancing user comfort. Double-layer structures can distinguish between male and female areas or set up management rooms, meeting the simultaneous use needs of multiple people. For example, construction sites in northern regions can add insulation layers to cope with low temperatures, while those in southern regions can strengthen ventilation and moisture-proof designs to adapt to different climatic conditions.

Environmental Protection and Sustainability

Portable toilets adopt biodegradation technology to reduce sewage discharge, with some models equipped with solar panels for power supply, reducing energy consumption. Manufactured using recyclable materials (such as recycled plastics), they support leasing models to reduce costs, balancing functionality with environmental compliance. The Xihua construction site can prioritize microbial degradation or foam-sealing sewage disposal technologies based on scale, usage duration, budget, and environmental requirements to achieve efficient and low-carbon sanitation solutions.
