Wuhu Concrete Prefabricated Houses
Wuhu is thriving in the development of concrete prefabricated houses (prefabricated buildings), with outstanding performances in production modes, project cases, newly signed projects, and quality supervision.
In terms of production modes, Wuhu has shifted a significant amount of on-site construction work to factories. Inside the factories, building components and accessories such as shear wall panels, bay windows, floor slabs, and stairs are processed and manufactured. These are then transported to construction sites and assembled using precise and reliable connection methods, truly achieving the concept of 'factory-made parts, site-assembled houses'. This production mode has transformed traditional construction methods, enhancing production efficiency and building quality.
Regarding project cases, Wuhu Jinggong Lvjian has completed Wuhu's first prefabricated residential community project. In this project, stairs, floor slabs, and shear walls are all prefabricated components, with an assembly rate of 60%. It was also selected as a demonstration project for prefabricated buildings in Anhui Province in 2022. During construction, the factory-based production was unaffected by adverse weather conditions and other natural environments, achieving quality control, cost control, and schedule control. The construction efficiency was 40% higher than that of traditional construction methods, fully demonstrating the advantages of prefabricated buildings.
In terms of newly signed projects, in 2026, Wuwei City signed a new project with a total investment of 175 million yuan for the annual production of 80,000 cubic meters of concrete prefabricated building components. This project will revitalize existing land by renovating existing factories, constructing an additional 4,500 square meters of factory space, introducing new prefabricated component production lines, purchasing production equipment, and completing relevant ancillary facilities. This will further drive the development of Wuhu's concrete prefabricated housing industry.
Regarding quality supervision, relevant departments attach great importance to concrete quality supervision. The Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Wanzi District conducted a special inspection of ready-mixed concrete quality in 2025, adopting a 'zero-tolerance' attitude to strictly uphold the quality and safety standards of construction projects, ensuring full control over the entire chain of concrete production and construction in the district. The Municipal Quality Supervision Station also reported on the quality and dust prevention work of ready-mixed concrete enterprises in the first half of 2023, requiring enterprises to enhance their quality management levels, fulfill their dust prevention responsibilities, and improve the long-term quality control mechanisms for ready-mixed concrete, providing strong guarantees for the quality of concrete prefabricated houses.
