Factory Prefabrication of Wooden Structure Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

Factory prefabrication of wooden structure houses features short construction periods, excellent quality and performance, and a high degree of automation in factory production.

In terms of construction form and period: The main structure adopts a combination of factory-prefabricated components and on-site assembly, with a typical construction period of 2 - 3 months, approximately 50% shorter than that of traditional buildings. Taking a 200-square-meter brick-and-concrete rough house as an example, its construction period is about 3 - 4 months, and an additional 2 - 3 months for fine decoration, averaging 6 months to complete. In contrast, wooden structure houses have a shorter construction period, which also reduces costs and risks.

In terms of quality and performance:

  • Solving traditional problems: With technological advancements, modern wooden villas have overcome issues such as flammability and decay through processes like preservative impregnation and fire-retardant coating carbonization layer resistance, achieving a service life of over 70 years.
  • Seismic performance: The building structure adopts mortise-and-tenon joints or beam-column structures, with seismic performance reaching an 8-degree standard, effectively resisting natural disasters such as earthquakes.
  • Thermal insulation efficiency: The wall thermal insulation efficiency is three times that of brick-and-concrete structures, reducing energy consumption and improving living comfort.
  • Other properties: They possess fire and moisture resistance, noise insulation, and other characteristics. Materials such as Scots pine and Douglas fir, which are preservative-treated woods, are selected, with a moisture content controlled below 19%. These materials not only regulate humidity but also provide sound insulation, creating a healthy and quiet living environment for occupants.

In terms of factory production:

  • South Korean factory: There is a highly automated factory for the production of wooden residential structures, which fully utilizes robotic arms for board cutting and the automated assembly of the main structure. Machines process components according to built models, with errors controlled within 0.01 millimeters. The robotic arms precisely place the fabricated wood, with small components gradually assembled into larger ones, ultimately forming complete walls. These walls are then assembled into houses, which also involve the laying of moisture-proof layers, the installation of internal wall pipelines, and the filling of insulation, soundproofing, and fire-resistant materials such as glass wool.
  • Hongyang Home Decoration factory: The national-level industrial park factory it has built can achieve customization of 37 major categories integrating doors, walls, and cabinets. It not only has the foundation for standardized mass production but also possesses the production capacity to meet non-standard, irregular, and specially made demands. The factory has comprehensively introduced precision CNC processing equipment from Germany and Italy, establishing an intelligent assembly line production system that stably controls woodworking processing accuracy within ±0.2mm (better than the national standard of ±0.5mm).
