Where Does the Sewage from Mobile Toilets Go

Admin October 07, 2026

The destination of sewage from mobile toilets varies depending on different sewage treatment methods, mainly including the following situations:

The sewage treatment method for conventional flush-type mobile toilets is similar to that of ordinary toilets. The sewage is discharged through water supply and drainage pipes into a septic tank or municipal sewer network. The septic tank performs preliminary sedimentation and decomposition treatment on the sewage. After reaching a certain level of treatment, it is then discharged or further treated according to the actual situation. If directly discharged into the municipal sewer network, it will enter the urban sewage treatment system for centralized treatment.

The sewage from direct-discharge mobile toilets is directly connected to the municipal sewage network through pipes and treated centrally by the urban sewage treatment system. This treatment method requires that the location of the mobile toilet has the conditions to connect to the municipal sewage network, ensuring that the sewage can enter the urban sewage treatment system in a timely and smooth manner, avoiding pollution to the surrounding environment.

For mobile toilets with a water-storage sewage system, the sewage is discharged into a storage tank. When the storage tank is full, it needs to be cleaned and replaced. The cleaned sewage needs to be transported to an appropriate treatment site for treatment and cannot be dumped randomly to avoid polluting the environment.

In packaged mobile toilets, feces are compressed into blocks and stored in the toilet tank, while sewage is discharged through drainage pipes. The discharged sewage also needs to be connected to an appropriate treatment system, such as the municipal sewage network or specialized sewage treatment facilities.

Vacuum collection mobile toilets use a vacuum pump to collect sewage and feces into storage tanks. After they are full, they are transported collectively. The transported sewage and feces are taken to professional treatment sites for treatment to achieve compliant discharge or resource utilization.

Chemical treatment mobile toilets use chemical agents to treat sewage and feces. The treated substances have reduced toxicity and can be discharged into the ordinary sewage system or designated collection points. However, it should be noted that before discharge, it is necessary to ensure that the treated substances meet relevant discharge standards.

Microbial degradation mobile toilets use microbial flora to decompose feces into water, carbon dioxide, and a small amount of residue. Urine can be purified into reclaimed water for reuse, such as for toilet flushing, achieving water resource recycling. The small amount of residue after decomposition can be used as organic fertilizer.

The sewage from mobile sewage tank mobile toilets is collected in detachable sewage tanks. When full, they are taken out by the user and poured into public toilets, gas stations, or designated sewage facilities to ensure proper treatment of the sewage.
